Had the same problem with my 04 RX1. RPM dropped about a 1000 RPM. Tried everything, changed clutch springs, rollers, secondary bushings. Final cure was the primary bushings and they didn't seem that bad, changed them problem solved.

Definately check it when it's hot. It's a dry sump system, when it sits the oil will drain back into the block and give you a false low. If you fill it when it's cold it will be overful by about a 1/2 a quart. Check it when it's hot and within 5 minutes of shutting if off. It's not like a...
Does this happen only when you plug into the cig lighter plug. I spliced it in under the cover and doesn't blow fuses. I only have about 5 or 6 rides on it that way but no problem yet.

Careful about skipping step two. I know someone who was turned away because of no notice at the border. May depend on the crossing and the mood of the US custom agent. Play it safe and fax them a copy.

Went out today now have 250 miles on the sled. It now is going to 11,200 and hitting the rev limiter. Don't think it's the conditions decent hook up on pack fire guard roads. Need to do something to get the revs down a bit. I assume clutch weights ?????
Put the first 150 miles on new 06 Apex ER. The few times during break in that I did pin it found that it would stay at about 11,000 RPM. Seems a little high to me. I think it is supposed to be at about 10,500. Am I loosing power reving a bit high ???? Or is it high ????
With my RX1 in deep powder I always had trouble with snow getting in the air box where the motor would starve for air and bog. Simple just shake the snow out of the filter and good to go again.
