I just used some 3/16 * 1/2 pull multigrip rivets to do my heat exchangers. I used aluminum jacket with steel pin with an oversized head. The bulkhead you may want to use zinc plated steel for the extra strength. Get a good pop rivet tool it is one hell of a pull but the multigrips really...
I just did mine. Ride much better. Here is a step by step. I did not need the brackets they speak of you just relocate the existing back ones.

Watch the allen key bolts that skid come with the skid. The heads are too thick and just...
Great idea I must be a little sleep deprived working at this at night.
Update the gear puller did the trick. I am on the assembly stage working for the weekend.....
Should I remove the factory pop rivets that hold the bearing retainer plate in the chassis and just slide the shaft out with it on behind the bearing or is there some other trick to get it off? I have loosened the two set screws on the bearing already.
BTW the chain case is already removed...
That looks cool but I am having a hard time finding these in Canada. I took it apart tonight and each is a hair line crack in between the cooling fins from the bending in and out from the bolt pressing agianst it. I am considering grinding it flat simular to the material that was removed for...
So here I go and put an m10 in as per the instructions I found at this link:

I did not like how the rear bracket put the two shaft bolts against the heat exchangers but it looks just like the picture. I had a couple of rides on it...
Now that you mention it there is only 1 as the quantity in the book. Thats weird since there are two tabs / flaps that stick out for the strap to attach to on the bottom cross shaft.
I recently put an M10 in my RX1. Everything is in but I noticed the limiter straps where rubbing on the track cogs where they were wrapped underneath the front cross shaft. I took them off and did not wrap them around the shaft and just bolted them on the top. Now they really don't look like...
I always wondered if Apex grips would work on the RX1. They have the hooks built in and heat all the way to the tip. Now that would be a nice upgrade since you have to anyways.
I noticed a clunk when taking off and rolling up to a stop a double clunk from time to time if I was coasting to a stop and feathered the brake a couple of times the last ride. The machine has always had a little clunk when the primary grabs but now I am paranoid something is different. If I...
There are a million answers to this question and if money is no object then there is a better solution than this one but...
When I first got my machine last season I wondered what I got myself into. Did the same upgrades on the front as you and also through on a pair of straight rate springs...
I agree with grader but if you do find you cannot tune it out I did the upgrade and found a big difference. I am on a 03 though so the change may not be as drastic if 05 came with a larger sway bar already. I think my stock was only 10mm to start with. Don't take your measurement of your...
Well now I am on to looking at a rebuilt M10 after I lost the deal on the ZX2. Less money and probably less of a suspension but it is seems to be tried and true. Question is what should I look for and other than moving the shocks for total failure is there any way to tell what shape they are...
2koolperformance can get all the pioneer stuff and is a canadian dealer. I have also ordered stuff direct from Pioneer and he will ship it standard us post and no duty, no tax that way
Thx for the feedback. I lost the deal on the ZX2 so I will need to keep looking. If am currently researching the proactive suspension out of a Nytro. My only worry is it will be too stiff for general trail riding.
