Took an hour at lunch to blast around the marsh. Snow is still waist deep and soft, air temp was -4 C. Got back to find that my licence plate stayed at the marsh. Got a new plate from DMV for 5 bucks :P

Why not run ring free now and then change the oil at the same time? Run the fuel system dry, fog the motor and throw a cover over it. Call her done.

I don't know about the spray can-think it's a spray lubricant. But Can Tire sells Seafoam engine treatment in a white can with red markings (900mL) Pour into fuel tank about half the can with a fill-up to shock the motor. Works great to clean up the carbs and the combustion chamber IMO

While I love everything about 4-stroke's, I too understand the desire to jump. I have 4 machines out in the garage, but I seem to spend more time looking at new sleds than riding what I have. Part of the lure to new sleds is the deals out there. Non-current sleds are often discounted...

I rode off yesterday for a quick blast with the funnel (white) on the back of the sled. Never saw it again as I have no idea where it fell off. I crawled through the neighborhood (1/2 a block) till the enterance to the trail then gunned it. Looked in the usual places, but it's got great...

Paying 1.35/L for 91. Since Obama was elected, we have seen a low of 0.98/L and a high of 1.68/L. Thats 3.70/gal to 6.40/gal for hitest. Could be lots worse.

Warrior Mileage 20 mpg seems reachable for most riders (smooth, flat trail, reasonable speeds). The Warrior has a 10 gallon tank, so 200 miles possible. Turbo model should get similar mileage off boost, but any booosted running will kill mileage (an increase in compression, fuel pressure...

Re oil change frequency: no matter how many miles you ride over the winter, always change the oil before storing your 4stroke sled during off-season. Dirty oil sitting in the crankcase/sump is good for nothing but trouble. :o|

Welcome to the forum. While I too own a Mountain version of the RX1, I spend most of my time looking/posting on the RX/RS pages. Many folks discuss the speedo and keeping various parts lubed. Have a look at these pages for some tips, and for more RX'ers to bounce questions off of.

Watched the 2011/2012 season over the last few weeks and I have never seen a group of sledders have more fun while experiencing tougher luck (and poor decision making :o| ) Thanks all for such excellent attitudes and awesome videos. I hope Greg can get out from under that Bear Cat. BTW...

Started my 03 RX1 after sitting for 2 weeks at between -25F and -30F. It was about -24F and nothing. Then I noticed the kill switch down. After pulling it up, the sled cranked slower than usual, but fired up quick and warmed up slow. :brrr:

I went for a blast this afternoon on my 03 RX1 M (stock). Did some WFO runs on the marsh behind the house (1000 ft runs). Conditions: -7C (20 F), calm, clear, 2400ft elev. 4 feet of dry, light powder, no tracks. Sled lifted the skis out of the powder, ran up quick to 10500 rpm, and ran hard...
