1,000ft

Trailleader ...when street racing in the burbs of Chicago, one of the games played was not to reveal your cards. In a sense, basically lie about what you have under the hood. I'm sure your familiar. 350ci-416ci what's the difference?!?! Lol.
It has come to my attention the boost has several tunes, up to 250hp.
So, I have to ask myself...why would a guy of your caliper quit at 210hp?
Remember, the truth will set you free. Hahaha.

They are not pump gas tunes though which will be evident by the smell in the parking lot. That would be first hint if it’s higher than a 20hp tune. That honestly is probably always accompanied by a sucked down sled loaded with nothing but chisels.

You're killing me! Even the extra 20hp needs a boost of octane.

Whats under your hood?

Wow.... What a great find, Tim. And that is an absolute great price.
It's not that I want my motor to blow, but I think you've given me a reason.
Crazy cool!!

Thats just the engine without supporting mods and tune. What rpm's do they spin that at in the yxz?

Its really amazing how the aftermarket companies can't tune the ski doo 900r ecu.
Since we have a easy ecu to tune on the sidewinder I am very surprised that we haven't seen anyone just re-pin the ski doo harness to sidewinder ecu to fit on ski doo.
Its not rocket science here. Both computers make an engine run.
Just pin the inputs and outputs along with power and grounds as required and tune it.

Give me both wiring schematics and proper pin contacts and could re pin the harness in a couple hours....

That is basically what they are doing, a replacement ECU (Bosch I believe, same as what it comes with). The Bosch would have the native signal/wiring support and its well supported from an OEM perspective. Any ECU could have worked but why fight the little battles if you can plumb the Bosch in with no hassles. If they ever crack the access keys then whatever work they have done on the Bosch would be directly applicable to the native doo ECU.

Hmmm.... understand. I think in time this with all blow over. And a very simple, cost effective way will be realized.
Look, it took us 8seasons to come up with a fix for clutch noise.
It will come. Those 900's will eventually run strong against the tuned 998's.
Are they going to be 998 killers, some will, some won't. Everything depends on how much money one has in his pocket, and how far he wants to go. (Desire)

It may be a while yet and maybe not worth the effort to crack into the Doo ECU.
With dozens of companies and tuners spending so much effort over the years to tune Diesel pickup trucks they all got stumped on the Ram 6.7 Aisin transmission and, as far as I know, no one yet has been able crack into the Aisin transmission to retune it.
I have a 3500 HO 6.7 Cummins with an Aisin trans and last I checked there were no tunes for that combination.

The yamaha clutches still rattle.

Well Tim... I really wasn't in the mood to be ridiculed by the group, until all the facts came out
It seems as though the grease supplied with The knockout kit doesn't like engine temperatures at approximately 190°
Those are my findings.
