I'm with ya. I figured there's no way it could possibly hurt. Thanks for the tips, RichThose actually work.
Make sure you get it tight enough so you have adjustment both ways.
Just carry a 13mm gear wrench with you and it is an easy adjustment.
I left 1 stock strap in the right side at full length for a safety strap.
PS...is 13mm the new 10mm. It's almost a necessity. Suspension, AFPR, etc.
SentSend me a link to that please doc

I have had one of those on my Apex Attak for many years....worked good. Was very effective for a quick suspension adjustment for weight transfer with varying conditions at the snow drags. So I bought one of these knob jobs. In theory you would be able to ride around with your limiter strap on the loose setting and then be able to crank it down on the lake.
Don't worry my budget for useless gadgets is still in the black. Lol.
I'll stick it next to my knockout kit and hurricane intake upgrade. Lol.

So I turn the adjuster all the way loose, then put it on the sled with the factory hardware. My thought was it should be manageable, then I can crank it tight from there. Hope that makes sense?!?!

Slick design and do let us know how that works out for you… Maybe a brief product review?

Thanks for the great video. Love to see full weight trail sleds at warp speed. Takes lots of engineering, lots of time, lots of cash, and biggins!RN&DH The fastest small turbo 998?

Well, i sent my sled out to get H/Studs & a turbo R&R (DIY Mod Stock) doing my best to join the 120mph club, in 1,000 on hard pack. I think I'll come up a little short lol! Stock 1.25" track & stock primary...Yikes!!
Prayers for a great season for all!

Tim, this is a DIY mod with all work done at a professional turbo shop. Pure speculation but I suppose when I get out and run it (1,000ft) 2mph would be slightly disappointing, 4mph would be a perfect world. Any more then that and I'd be tickled pink! How much power increase with the turbo?
Of course I'd be running on straight 93. Zero Boostane.

With a stock waste gate, and one of the "store-bought" tunes, remember the ecu is controlling boost (by controlling waste gate and using the tune boost level that it's programmed with). No matter how "good" or big your turbo is, your boost is same. HP improvements come from improvement in charge density, i.e. denser cooler incoming air, and the combined weight of these wheels is 12.5 grams (approx 7%) lighter than stock ones so the turbo spools quicker. When I ran my sled on the same track dyno before and after the turbo mod, to run the same AFR, I had to increase my fuel pressure about 5 lbs.(even at higher ambient air temp). That told me that the incoming air density was higher.
If you have a tune with no ecu boost limit (race map), then the mod stock turbo does produce more boost and therefore more HP.

Mosty agree with your assessment. I feel with lighter wheels, a cooler denser air charge should increase power at any given level. With a stock waste gate, and one of the "store-bought" tunes, remember the ecu is controlling boost (by controlling waste gate and using the tune boost level that it's programmed with). Why do we switch to a high flow muffler? Why do we replace the stock exhaust manifold with a header?
Less restriction = more efficiency. Same applies to the turbo. Shouldnt be a big surprise ro these guys.
