I am asking this because when the sled was new and unstudded I saw 126 on the dreamometer going across a .5 mile lake in less than ideal conditions. now after studded and taller windshield it will do 118 on trail in close to perf conditions. windshield and weight of studs thought to be the culprit. It does'nt really matter anyways, I just figure I'd obsess about it until the snow falls just because I'm a little twisted when it comes to getting the most out of what you have, and if all it takes is a lower shirld, I will do it and save grand pappy's pappy's windshield for maine when it is -15.
I know the Pred outhooks the 1" Hack and the 1.25" Rip on firm trail snow. time after time, my sled outhooked buddies sleds.

You can't believe what? Mph? When anyone pulls up beside you on a lake or river and you both hit it and the guy pulls away from you does it bother you then? How about when you go down the straight away in your stock car and the guy beside you puts 3 cars on you before the first turn? That's mph....So believe it....
quote="rehm70"]can't believe some guys obsess over 3mph. I have the Predator, and have abt 3500 mi on it. The lugs last a long time becuz of the compound, but unlike the Hack, which will flex, the Pred's lugs tear off.......horse a piece as far as wear goes.[/quote]

i wanted a 1.25 " carve track for my attak but the dealer said it was discontinued. WTF. I had to settle for a cobra track, it s still in the box i havent put it on yet. i hated the rip saw when riding off trail. I just noticed that artic cat stopped putting the cobra in there turbos this year, not a good sign. It looks like im going to lose some top end.

My other track that I use is a 1 3/8 x 121x15 Cat track with no studs. It works really well in the deep stuff and at the start of the year when the snow is fresh. The only problem is it will only pull about 104-105 mph on GPS but it sure get there damm fast.

3 mph means im pulling away from you even faster. Its not about the top number, its all about how fast you get to that number!

Just follow up I had the 1" hacksaw with 320 studs and it was worthless on my supercharged 250hp apex. It would actually spin out and limit my top speed. Never had that happen. The predator and cobra are leaps and bounds better for my sled anyway.
