18th annual Sno-Deo Shoot out results

i know 2 guys around here with xp 800 and they fly. i know they played with them but hey, we all do. they say they know when the chip burns in as the top end really picks up on them. i thought it was all a bunch of crap to but they say its not. lets face it if you riding it and can feel it when it happend. its not just a suttle change

Of course we know there is a history of them running hot chips for these shoot outs not to mention the illegal fuel at Hay Days so let the excuses keep rolling in. Sure the XPs may fly, hell they should considering power to weight but my Apex flies too. Now we know they're not giant killers the season will be interesting to see how much (more) breaks on 'em.

Dynotech dyno'd each stk sled days before, I was told that the XP dyno'd at 155HP. If this was with the "break-in" chip what is this sled going to make once broke in?
I've also been told that the XP800 doesn't have a "break-in" chip being that it is carb'd and not SDI?

Pro116 I filled out my profile. Did something change? I filled it out last year when I signed up, I now have 125 post and nobody has mentioned it to me before.

All D.E.S.S. doos have had these 'chips' for at least 5 model years.

They can NOT be removed or bypassed AND they really are NOT that big of deal!!! Ones that claim different are either exagerating or not taking into account that OTHER things like the rolling resistance is less and that is why they are getting more speed and such!!
Look @ our 4s anyone try and get a top speed before the 50 mile mark? Then try again @ the 100 miles or 200 miles or 300 miles? Hmm our sleds got faster too.... We don'thave a chip!!
