18th annual Sno-Deo Shoot out results

wow, 2 different shoot outs and the apex took the xp800 at both. didn't see that coming. maybe real world riding conditions will be different.

All sleds are studded equally by CC/horsepower rating (600cc or 120-130 hp sleds run same number of studs & 800cc or 150+ hp sleds run same number of studs).

so they are studded for the stock run?

doo aparently has the cdi restricted until a x amount of numbers to bunt out. i was told a big difference with the guys around here

LOL! That the running joke about the 'burn in chip'!!
I've owned 5 doos and only noticed the chip burning in on one because I was WFO on a climb and I heard a pitch change in the engine! IF you are not paying attention you'll miss it! Don't believe the hype! Heck a stiff new track is more noticeable when it loosens up and become more plyable....

Don't go out and think you be able to win every time you line up next to the XP's NOR should you think just because it's an XP you'll lose! Race 'em BUT keep it short the XP have a higher top end than the FX Nytro!

This is from a Doo owner on doo.talk. quote:

"Let's be serious for a second... I have had no less than 5 doos with 'burn in chips' and it's NOT like the power change is overwhelming once it burns out! Honestly IF you aren't paying attention you'll probably miss it when it happens!
Fact there is a bigger feel in increase of power when the engine and track loosen up with in <100 miles than when the 10hr / 300mile timing curve change!!"

Some sites are making a big deal about the Nytro running in the 600 class sleds. I think that if they had a good running 600 like the Polaris then it proves that it is were it belongs. Not that much difference between the 600 class and the big sleds any more.
Glad to see the resualts
Bruce

Woops. Your post wasn't there when I posted that. I guess we posted the same time, but yours got in first. lol

One of our riding buddies just traded his 06 RTX for a new 800XP. He hasn't seen the shootout results yet.
