2021 Release?

Just speculating but I think we are gonna see the 4s Phazer 500 mill in the new Blast chassis.

That way the Cat version is the 2s and the Yami version be 4s and they (sorta) don’t directly compete against each other.

Thoughts? A pro cross Phazer doesn’t seem like a huge stretch right??

Jaret from Yamaha said we would see a sneak peak of some new products, i'm hoping there not renewed stickers and paint again, I feel if nothing in the lines of a new chassis from Yamaha does not happen this year than Yamaha is done with their own sled development and design, sadly

They have been done for a while now....And this year will be no different

Is this new shock just for the single shot skid? What shock is it? Nicks newer Vector is a 2016.

Yes it is just for the single shot either 146 or 129. plenty of info if you search. I myself had one and sold it. Put the money for a Hygear single coilover rear shock. More reliable and better ride for me and my size and gear.

I hoping that Yamaha comes through with a new sled and non co shared chassis for 2021, but I am not getting my hopes up to high, you maybe very well right, all we may get is a rebadged blast with Yamaha advertising it like they re invented the wheel with shiny new Enticer stickers on it, some have mentioned the Phazer 4 stroke engine in the blast chassis but with the history of Cats 600 2 stroke in Yamaha's line up now they may just use Cats single cylinder in the Blast chassis again just rebadged, there is lots of things Yamaha could do with there engine tech and even bring back their own 2 strokes for a mountain sled but I am left thinking more of the same from Yamaha very minor changes, we will soon see.

The Phazer 500 engine in the Blast chassis would make a very nice lightweight 4 stroke sled. It would be a perfect market segment replacement for the ‘07-‘18 Phazer, but idk if it’ll happen. If Yamaha just re-badges the Blast with the Cat single 2 Stroke in it I think it would be a strong signal that Yamaha doesn’t really care about sleds anymore other then giving their dealers in the snow belt a little extra business in the winter.

I'm almost certain any new model will involve the blast chassis. Question is whether Yamaha puts their own R&D into it with a 4 stroke motor. I really really hope they put a 4 stroke motor in it. I have no desire owing a 2 stroke sled again.

Also, people want to complain about the procross being outdated, but reality is that front end is still the most superior on the market in my opinion. I'm on a 900 turbo skidoo this year, and I feel like I went back to the apex/vector days of constant ski lift when trying to corner at speed. Procross is planted and predictable with minimal inside ski lift. When I jump back on a Winder or Viper the cornering confidence in the machine comes back instantly.

Procross chassis has the very BEST front end on snow, and the rear isn’t that far behind the r-motion. Like you say, handles flat, predictable, planted and just soaks up any bump you feel like throwing at it!

20/80 I forgot more about the single shot rear suspension then you will ever know. I have worked on Yamaha snowmachines for 30+ years at dealerships and my own shop. You have no idea what your talking about half of the time and I think your one of those guy's that has to get the last word in no matter if you are right or wrong.

Thank you!!

I would like to see some more options for colours, tracks, etc. I know we are not getting a Yamaha 2 stroke motor, or a new suspension or whatever we all complain about. I guess those are all tall orders. So why not just give us more colour options? Or maybe the Ice Ripper track, or different lug lengths Stuff that's easy to do. Gimme an option for a Winder with QS3's, (don't need that Iact) in a colour that I like and I may pull the trigger!!

If Yamaha uses the blast with a 2s engine with different stickers that say Yamaha on them, then that would be a new low for them.
