The Blast with a Phazer engine would be an awesome little sled and be everything the original 4 Stroke Phazer tried to be, but couldn’t. Are you listening Yamaha? Crickets.

Great video! Where’s my Kando? Lol ordered my updated shock from Travis today. They obviously don’t care about sled buyers. Sorry their technology impresses me. Guess we are the black sheep of the family. With all my whining on here about my shock problems. I figured I had to bring up a Country song.
Great video! Now give me an awesome mountain sled!

Sad but true. However on a global scale with all of the other motorized products that Yamaha sells I think we're fortunate that they're still in the snowmobile business. As long as they still want to be a four season recreational company they'll continue to bring sleds to market on their own terms.

This video applies to every aspect of Yamaha except for their snowmobiles. Maybe if they had put in all the time test and developing snowmobiles like they do for their motorcycles then they would actually be something in the sled industry. Its almost like they lost the passion for snowmobiles in the early 2000's and that passion never came back.

10.5 minutes of Yamaha products and 4 quick blips of snowmobiles for a total of maybe 6 seconds,,,,,,,,yep, Yamaha is out of the sled biz!
Yamaha is slacking in way more than just snowmobiles. Venture was a disappointment to many. How about the Wolverine UTV? Compare it to a General or Doo. I buy Yamaha for the engine and the deceptive approach they have taken to outsourcing to China or wherever for parts and whole motors scares the heck out of me. How do you know who made your motor? Thankfully they still have best warranty.

I have to disagree on the Wolverine, other than cab space for tall (6'2"+) people and the speed limiter it has been a home run for its price point.
They've been selling like hot cakes for us.
Maybe so but the General is what it’s competing against at least in the type r . Bet they sell more and not even close feature wise. Love the YXZ but need a real sport utility and Wolverine is lacking.I have to disagree on the Wolverine, other than cab space for tall (6'2"+) people and the speed limiter it has been a home run for its price point.

Even Honda the most conservative company I know of is offering a better line up than Yamaha. It’s painful for me to admit since I have always loved Yamaha. They need a change in management.

Cannondale27, you hit it right on the head. I had hoped Yamaha learned their lesson with the Grizzly 700 fiasco (outsourcing). The video shows the pride they have in displaying their own foundry yet we find out (assumption) that the all mighty dollar prevails and outsourcing is the solution. FRUSTRATING...
