Yamaha has a few 22's at the snocross races in eagle river. I noticed the chaincase doesn't have a sight glass anymore. Loved the looks of both the LE and SRX in person. I didn't like the srx at all

My 2021 have no sight glass too.

Correct this was on the 21.. I didn't mind the site glass actually. Got to say the LE has to much silver for me. That seat and where your feet go are going to show dirt and dust badly.. IMO.. Still nice sleds!

Didn't realize they changed that in 21. Shows how much I paid attention.
They don't have a se there unfortunately.
I like the le but agree the seat needs some black on it. I laugh how close it is to my 18 dx though.

YEA that's close in color.. I might have ordered the LE if that seat was black! Its still sharp. But... the SE was calling my name..

Like to mention on this new "plug" in the chaincase. I changed the fluid on a 21 Cat 8000 with this plug. Personally I don't even bother with it. I just put 15-16 ounces in the chaincase. How many guys are going to over torque that plug?? These chain cases are VERY sensitive to over torque

I am glad its gone as I saw first hand how it can ruined a trip.

So its a drain plug now? Only advantage is one can put a magnet on it to check for wear metals. I like to use a fluid extractor so no mater to me.

No its not a drain plug. Its a oil amount plug.. The idea is to drain the case the same way/open case. Then when you fill (from the middle by the reverse actuator)it you fill until the fluid drains out of the plug hole.. Just like a lower unit on a outboard.. Also the inside of the case has magnets in it.. on the end of the drive shaft(lower gear goes around it on the bottom of case).

Interesting texture on that cover...can use vinyl patches? Lol! Shows something has changed in manufacturing.

Hey all what do you think is wrong with this picture? I went to the races too over the weekend. I was there the whole weekend and seen the same picture every time I walked by the Yamaha prototypes. What is wrong with the picture? McKabe I'm not picking on your picture I am just wondering if anybody else notice the same thing that I noticed!
