4th wheel kits

The slides will wear in the middle and front at curve. So the duponts should last longer than stocker for sure. There will very little wear at the rear with the bigger wheels ever.

Todd it would seem that if one were to install the duponts that there would be even more drag at the rear of the sled due to the sliders being a tad thicker vs stock hyfax? Perhaps making a strong case for running the Stealth big wheel kit even more appealing? Your thoughts.
The set I put on my Apex weren't thicker

Maybe I'm thinkin of the doo oEM slides. I know they were thinner than the duponts.

I installed my 4th Wheel Kit from J&T. Far superior than factory tri-hub assembly!!

Anyone that has this kit installed may want to put a 17mm wrench / socket in their tool kit.....I noticed no 17mm anything in my Yamaha tool kit. I've been stuck before trying to adjust tech tension on the trail. Not pleasant without the right tools...

Are these wqheels 8" or 8.5" for my LTX-LE 137

J&T Big Wheel kit is 8.5" to replace the 8" wheels on your LTX

Installed the j&t steathkit tonight Very nice stuff. You can't go wrong with this kit and Todd was awesome to deal with.

Anyone thinking about doing this, stop thinking and do it. A buddy on his Viper screwed up some nice riding Saturday when his Vipers Tri-hub decided to take a dump........

I was thinking of doing an aftermarket 4th wheel kit but in the end just saved myself some bucks and bought the two outside wheels to add to the tri hub. Yes the tri hub has smaller bearing but they are replaceable, so I figured I will try this for now and as needed replace the cheap bearing with good ones during off season PM checks.

I've never replaced the hub assembly before. Can some explain the installation procedure to put the J&T 4th wheel kit in? Just wondering what to look out for, if anything.

When i did mine i pulled the skid .This seems to be the easiest/best way to do it .

My buddy has the j&t stealth big wheel kit he claims it rolls easier and adds a little bit of top end. Also said the install is cake and it's a real quality product
Your buddy is correct!

Has any sidewinder tri-hubs failed?....my buddy has 6000 miles on his tri-hub on 17 winder no issues yet...I think i will just add a 4th wheel kit from yammy to take some tension off the hub and maybe roll a little easier....
