I'm not sure there is a belt transmission that can handle the power of these tuned beasts long-term.

Yea I was just messing with you.I'm not sure there is a belt transmission that can handle the power of these tuned beasts long-term.
Only problem is it takes a toll on the movable in the primary. I'm getting a ridge from them.

Just did a 200 mile ride yesterday at -3c[27f] with a large portion of the trail being an old railbed. We were the only group on the trail and visibility was good. We ran for 15 to 20 miles at uninterrupted very high speed ,a true test of every ones belt durability. My belt temp gage never exceeded 180F until we finally stopped and then the belt temp climbed up momentarily over 200f then started to cool. We ran this portion of the trail both coming and going so the belts got the work out twice.
I did an inspection today of my belt and clutches and the 8DN that has been on my sled for 1200+ miles now looks as new.
I am really liking this SideWinder.

I used to think that, but I have 1400 kms of thrashing on an xs825 belt and it still looks mint. Finished my last ride with 10 anti lag launches in a row, my buddy on his freeride 850 thought he could beat me out of the hole, so had to prove a point. Still lokks mint. My original clutching setup I was only getting 500kms to an 8jp driving easier than I have been now.
All at 270 tune and 1 tank on the 300 tune.

Hate to get off topic but what do you have your Anti Lag Boost and RPM set at?

2900 - 3.5psi right now, just a random thing I set it to and seems to work well. Could definitely go higher on snow, but I dont wanna break #*$&@ on the trail. I would actually test if it was a real race, but I just have it for shits and I like the way it sounds. Last year on ice with chisels, I had it set to 30o0rpm and 2 psi, worked well.

I had mine set at 3100 10psi at snow drags...came out of the hole really well
I actually don't know what it actually climbed up to before launch...I just didn't want to limit it

lol, thats pretty wild. Snow can definitely handle more boost off the line than ice. We only launch my brothers viper at 6psi on ice and can pull 1.1 60ft times like that. Should Data log it next time you race, then youll know for sure. I will try higher boost next time Im out, just havent been able to test around home this season cuz theres no snow.

Yes mine is a 2019 X-TX LE but a friend of mine I ride with bought the same sled as me so I have done cosmetic changes to set them apart. One of the changes I made was changing over to SRX decals. My sled is Hurricane stock muffler tuned and his is Precision performance muffler tuned. We both were pretty dominant at the local snow drags. As you can see from the pics the sleds are very close performance wise.

The 8DN is a proven strong belt.
With NO clutch changes it GPS'd at 117 when the 8JP GPS'd at 121 within 10 minutes of each other on a 5 mile WOT trial on a lake for me last year.
It was also a little "poochier" in the middle.
I'd have to go back to look up my data to see what the RPM's were. I think the 8DN was 300 lower.
BUT, in the trails i hardly noticed it. It is a back up to my other 2 back ups. If i'm on a trip & i blow 3 belts, i'll put this on plus if any other Yamaha's are in need of a belt, i'd offer this to them.
It is reported that the 8DN will wear out the sheaves in certain spots if you ride a certain RPM a lot, but my Apex has over 20,000 miles on it and there is just a small groove. Nothing to be concerned about. Of course that's 150 HP compared to 200 plus.
DON't FORGET, that was with NO changes

Bob,is your bib white with red letters, the only number I can see is 3 on the right side. So your XTX -LE is it the 137 coupled skid, and does it still have the 1.75 lug track on it?Yes mine is a 2019 X-TX LE but a friend of mine I ride with bought the same sled as me so I have done cosmetic changes to set them apart.
