there is also a nice one mounted up by the gas cap with a nice rubber seal cap as well....need to talk to my parts guy and order one

Yup the one I ordered was up by tank. This was only pic I found. Same thing though. When you order it you need the plug, cap and fastener for cap. All separate parts.

Plugged in my shield and there's no power at that plug,is there a fuse I need to add for that two prong plug to work?
Did you check with engine running?

Went and got my volt meter and I have power at the plug,it's the gmax adaptor I got that's screwed up,it's wired reverse polarity compared to the shield plug,my buddy just tried his new gmax helmet and the cord was junk on that too so beware if your looking at them

The connector IS different on the power cord. It is a three prong connector that will need to be cut and spliced into the current 2 prong Viper connector that's on the Viper/7000 Cat for compatibility. This according to a Cat dealer that looked into it for me.

So Kerrdog, does the plug work with the sled started for you? I'm leaning towards the same route you took by connecting the power cord to the two prong connector behind the chain case instead of running it up from the battery.

The 2 prong connector by the chaincase has power with key on,the gmax heated shield cord plugs into that and has the rca type plug on the end for my heated shield,if I plug into it,the shield doesn't work but I have power up there, the problem is the center of the rca cable is the positive and the outside is the negative and on the gmax cable it's the opposite, and I checked another gmax cable and it's the same way so they have a production run of these cables that are bad,I put the power cable that came with it my new helmet in and that runs to the battery so I'm done messing with it now,I'll leave that plug for something else down the roadSo Kerrdog, does the plug work with the sled started for you? Gotcha. Electric dash cord has power, but the GMax helmet power cord is causing the issue. I have a HJC helmet and will test it out in the coming days. Thanks.
Anxious to see the Pantera setup. I do plan to run one of Rock's smart supplies, but the Pantera thing intrigues me.
