Guys that are experiencing the vibration let Denis know as it will help in solving this. ( denisboivin@adboivin.com ) Because no one is letting him know there are 500 ZX2's out there and only two people have reported the problem. The other guy rides a Polaris IQ so I know there are a handful of you here that have not said anything.
Regarding my previous picture Denis said that alignment is normal. I examined my old track tonight and took some pictures. There is also some pics of the track before I removed it. You can really tell the cogs on the track are hitting something. It is mainly one row on the track although the other side shows slight wear, it is nothing as extreme as the row the pictures were taken of.
There have been lots of complaints about vibration through out all the ZX2 threads including from me? Should we start a thread or survey about this?
My skid also has all the rub marks as depicted here and is the source of vibration IMO. The drive nubs hit the fins on the shock arm and hits the rear wheels, trying to aling this track so it won't hit wheels is quite difficult.
Whatever it takes. If that is easier then calling then let's make a thread and show Denis. Something that will allow him to know there is a problem because right now he does not believe a problem exists.
He believes the rub marks to be normal. I do not have a problem with them as they are not extensive but the vibration bothers me.

Just changed my sliders at 900 miles. Worn right through to the skid. Caught them just in time. I have a Warrior 136 and the front of the slider was fine its the rear between the last idlers and the rear axle. Huge wear in that area.
Was running in super cold hard like rock trails for the whole time. Just wondering if anyone with the short tracks are getting this kind of wear?
That and the skid bottoms out on my rear heat exchanger protectors are the only issues so far. Doesn't bottom hard on big bumps at speed just slow moguls and bottoms of gullys at speed (Lots of G force). Comes down and rubs on the protectors, not hard but you can feel it. No vibrations or track driver lug damage. If fact I would say it runs silky smooth compared to my pro action.
The ride is awesome and the way it sucks up bumps is night and day difference compared to the old Pro-action. I can ride at speeds beyond my belief in 1 foot stutter bumps with almost no bouncing in the sled. It handles rock hard drifts on the lake very well, getting air and landing like on a soft pillow.
I am running on 7 preload on the springs for my weight and I am thinking of getting a stiffer spring for riding double. I have the skid set up for the most ski pressure at 3 and 4 (third down on the left of revolver and second down on the right) but find the pressure to be less than the pro action which is good. It handles better then ever on the groomed trails. Better even then the proaction which I thought handled quite well.
It is very stable in the high speed twistys and even in the slow tight trails it stays very flat. I have to say I'm quite impressed with the ZX2.

About 2,400 on the skid.
Hyfax still looks to be in great shape although I really miss having a line on the hyfax.
I am missing a revolver pin.
Skid still seems to be holding it's own. No damage that I can see.
While the oil in the shocks is getting old the skid gets more comfortable. It makes me wonder if I should do a revalve next year or just a rebuild?
All the bolts have been staying put!

Part number for the 136 is 560312800. Not sure of the 121 number. Was going to buy a spare set so I'll see if I can find the part number for the 121.
FYI a 11mm wrench just slips over the hyfax at the point it is worn through with very little play. A 12mm wrench would therefore leave you with one mm left. So if a 12mm wrench fits its time to change NOW!
On the new ones there is a line but checking with a wrench is a good idea.

Sasquatch - thank you
I have checked with a wrench, can't remember which one. I'll keep the 12 mm in mind the next time I check them.

Just over 3,000 miles on the skid.
Hyfax still look awesome. The bolts still have not moved on me in a long time.
Now my limiter strap is sliding to the right on the top shaft. I will have to put a hose clamp up there as well.
I see no major damage

About 1800 miles for me and no issues at all. I simply could not ride another skid now. I LOVE THIS SKID!

Ditto
The ZX-2 still need more rebound dampening, for the 10th+ time LOL.
EDIT: I just sent an email to Jeff at ADBoivin about the lack of rebound dampening I have experienced with my ZX-2 136"

I put 4 big black tye wraps on the shaft. 2 on the bottom next to the limiter strap and 2 on the top, (after centering the strap) got them as tight as I could and still good after 500 miles.
I was worried that hose clamps might cut into the strap.

Please let me know if you hear anything. Just curious as to what they may have to say.

I was concerned to and will be sure to inspect the strap in the summer. The black straps also sound like a quick, cheap, and easy solution. I may just add these as well.

I got the reply from Denis Boivin today.
He said he can send me the instructions on how to revalve the shocks for more rebound dampening.
He also said that they calibrated the rebound dampening to be smooth in the small washboard bumps aka trail chatter, and that adding more rebound dampening would take away from the smoothness in those conditions. I'm just fine with that cause rough trails with lots of moguls is what I ride all day long all season, we hardly have any washboard bumps at all.
I replied to his email and requested him to send me the instructions on how to revalve the shocks for more rebound dampening.

mdkuni,
What is the latest news with your ZX2. Do you still ride down there?
Yesterday, my mono has died. Need a replacement. Tell me what kind of riding you do and How is the ZX2 do the job?
