hi guys,
I have an Impulse Kit. We got it all done including the head shim. This is our second install. Ran it Sunday night in the shop once we buttoned up all the panels. It ran great except the Prologger was not registering the RPMs. No problem it was just the Violet Prologger wire connection to the facory wire, it did not have a real tight connection. We get back today and go to fire it up and the battery seemed almost dead. The sled is acting funny, like it is getting way to much gas. It will not hold an idle and it sounds like crap. Factory fuel pump and front resevoir tank pump are working. Check all air lines and fuel lines. Fuel PSI gets to 42 psi. Checked all electrical connections and everything looks good. We even grounded out the ECU and checked for codes. There were 4 in there so we cleared them. Then we ran it again to see which code was current and none came up. To me it sounded like a timing issue so I pulled the valve cover. Both cam shaft marks are perfectly lined up and the timing chain is tight. The plugs were very wet. Anyone have any ideas on this???
Thanks in advance

I second what Need for Speed 2 said, the ECU need a minimum votage to work correctly, don't know the values tho, check with your dealer.

are you running stock injectors or the 450 cc ones, if you have the bigger ones turn down the fuel pressure to 35 lbs.

stock injectors. We have literally checked everything. Tore the valve cover off to check timing and vavle clearances. Anyone else have any theories. The only thing I can think of is possibly the air pressure sensor is bad. Anyone every heard of them giving out?

Did you try unhooking the fuel control box, or check the TPS?MotleyOne said:stock injectors. We have literally checked everything. Tore the valve cover off to check timing and vavle clearances. We unhooked the Pure Logic and put it back to stock and unhooked the charge tub and boost lines. Still doing it.

You could check the TPS, they failed often enough on the Apex. With the fuel box unhooked no throttle it should be at 15 and at W/O it should be at 95, I might be wrong on the number as I don't have a manual here, you could try searching on the form or call Paul..JMOMotleyOne said:67 Rat said:Did you try unhooking the fuel control box, or check the TPS?MotleyOne said:stock injectors. FYI......it was the intake air pressure sensor fault code 13 and also 25. changed out throttle bodies with Motleyone's and everything worked fine. now we have to figure out how to change the sensors.

thanks to Motleyone for loaning throttle bodies. he has been a great help to me. I wouldn't have boost without his help and support.
