I know a lot of people are happy with the storm track but is anyone running the Ice version on their SW? I run the ice cobra on my nytro and love it but thats half the hp. I know i wont hook up on ice like studs but on good trail i would think it would do really well and have the safety of the 144 picks if you get an icy corner here and there. I've been throwing a few studs this year and am getting tired of messing with them. Was thinking of trying this track out next season.

I have one on my Turbo Viper, but we have only driven it twice, I think on trail it hooks hard and for off trail it does pretty well too.

I'm running the 1.6 but I'm only 129 does ok nothing like having studs !I'm going the other way to a 1"track with picks for top speed ! Good luck I will say they do good on hard pack trail and really good for some off trail not that good on ice trails????

Forgot to say I have a TD tune 260hp track has held up good so far about 600miles

I was about to ask the same question. My only concern is it being a 1 ply.

I had the 1.6 cobra on my sidewinder, it has a 270 race tune, at the end of sec year I had about 6 or more lugs ripped off. Camso warranteed the track , and I have the storm 150 now and put Igrip studs in it so about 700 miles and absolutely love the track, in my opinion it hooks up way better then the cobra did ,just keep an eye on the track for lug damage.

We have never liked the cobras, too soft lugs always wore/tore too fast. Rip2 is easily most durable track that covers most all bases best. Most others all sacrifice too much top speed.

Interesting topic, I'm going to ditch the Rip2 with 135x1.575 studs for next season. I wanted the Ice Cobra 1.6 or Ice Storm 150 and not sure which way to go. If the lugs are too soft on the Ice Cobra that's not good, we're you seeing issues in the Ice Cobra or standard Cobra?

I'm running the storm 150 and installed 192 IGRIP'S($200) that stick 3/16" out of the lugs, this track is amazing has a little howl between 30 - 40 mph but then its gone traction is decent no kicking out on ice corners great in the powder doesn't push in the corners on groomed trails.

Got 3500 miles on a cobra 1.325" and it still looks brand new nice track hooks up on everything better top end than a ripsaw but the storm 150 is much superior better traction add 192 st25's igrips great combo for corner to corner and works in the powder

I had a Cobra on my Apex and I loved that track. It lasted longer than my Ripsaw too.

Installed a storm 150 on my ltx this fall, loaded up with INS screws. I'd have to say it's the best change I've done to it. Hooks great on hard pack, little give in corners, no pushing. Not gonna win off the line on ice but awesome everywhere else. Track does load harder, had to take some weight out when I put it on. I'm running hurricane 240hp tune also. Track took the fish tailing away that the rip2 did constantly. Yami should put em on at factory.

Unless you hurt that track, I would be talking to somebody about warranty on that.
