I'm not real happy with the Simmons trail performance. I am looking to give something else a shot besides C&A's or Simmons.
yes, better by far then stock but too positive for me, very aggresive, shel throw ya off before they plough trough a corner

There's a tech article in the Sep issue of SnoTech that says many of the pilot ski users are finding that the inside edge of the keel is wearing pre-maturely....Aparently it is quite thin (for reduced weight) and if used in marginal snow conditions it tends to wear right out (putting a hole it the ski, I think).
BRP is aware of the issue but has no plans to beef up the ski. If you ride in lots of snow, it's not likely to be an issue for you though.

That is no joke, I had a buddy lose a wear rod and burned the ski! 2 new skis later he was back but that was expensive and his wear rods were new at the start of the year!

hey Maddog,
the woody's dullies worked great on my 05 warrior, once i got the ski pressure set right, those dullies lasted two full ridding seasons almost 3000 miles. i'll be installing a new set for this year.

I got 2 seasons out of my doolies too....nearly 4500 miles.....Just by a diamond masonry wheel for your hand grinder (around 15 bucks) and you can sharpen them to a nice point....Lots of meat left on the carbides to sharpen them at least once or twice.....
So your the guy that stole my 71 nordic and then you had the nerve to put wheels on it. ill hunt ya down

maddog, go to viper s ski with a set of firecat offset dualies. great all around setup. you will need to weld one stud in a new location for the viper s style, older rx1 skis with the metal backs have same depth and can use them with just drilling a hole.
they make two versions, a short and long.
great tracking, easy steering, and no ice buildup in the middle
