Anything to Prevent Back-Top of Tunnel?

Was wondering if there is anything you can buy for the back-top part of the tunnel (behind the seat/tank in between back brake light) that would go underneath it to prevent high spot dents from rocks and any other debris?

Lol and yes I know a bag compartment will hide it, but it will still bug me knowing its dented underneath.

And for the ones shaking there head saying " it's a sled, ride the damn thing". YES I polish it with Diapers! Haha :p

You could rivet a piece of aluminum to the tunnel protectors to deflect it. But if you do that you might have an issue of ice build up between the two..

I about peed! I guess a guy could remove everything inside tunnel and glue/rivet a thin sheet of rubber or even another layer of aluminim. It would have to be entire length of tunnel. Would add strength if done right.

So do they really get peened up from below? I would think a sheet of lexan or HDPE might be worth a shot provided they are attached so as not to crack and fall out. That or conveyor belting.

Maybe have a gut shoot some Linex under there?

LOL! I like the way you think TestMaster hahaha.

I've seen a viper with high spot dents in the area that concerns me. He wasn't studded either. Thought I'd ask, I searched high and low for something you can buy to protect it and it being sold as a genuine part but nothing available. I've seen A LOT of other sleds with dings and what not, I thought for sure they would have made something by now for the DIAPER Folks. :p

Try riding it on snow rather than rocks? I used to ride my old RX- 1 tons in a shale pit mine and once in a while when it sank to the bootm of the snow it would suck a large piece into the tunnel and actually lock the track at the front heat exchanger. It wiped out the heat shield and dented the tunnel bad under the seat I installed aluminum sheet on the stud protectors.

I try my best to stay on snow. Lol. There is guys riding here, but to me there isn't enough and im not taking a brand new sled out that still has 0 km on it, just to say I've tried it out. If I don't get riding in this year, so be it. But thought I can prevent things from happening while I have the time right now to do it.

Or you could go with a carbon fiber tunnel extension! We have road side parking on logging roads here, so sometimes it means riding on gravel :o| to get to the snow. I have a couple of seasons on one now and it shows no signs of stone damage.;)!

All kidding aside, spray on bedliner. Used in armor panels but can't say more. It will protect your inner tunnel and shouldn't need any adhesive if applied correctly. Search out a local applier who knows the business.
