I developed a vibration at the end of last season. Dealer has had my sled for a while and I asked them to check the bearing since many have had issues. Sure enough its all shot. Problem is the parts are back ordered. Has anyone else run into this recently???

Also had my speedo sensor fall off on the last backpack trip. Had to ride for 2 days at 261mph. This put on a ton of extra miles. Dealer doesn't think they can do anything but its going to hurt my resale. It was around 2000 extra miles. Anyone else run into this??

Thanks Ron

never mind just found the other thread. Glad I didn't sell my Grand Touring 1200 Doo. At least I have something to ride.

Yes it sucks. Just had another welded. Talk to a local machine shop. Its a good fix especially with BOP Wedge. Does worry me that shaft may crack after welding but buddy has cracked everything else and his welded shaft has held so taking my chances. Its time to ride at all costs. Season is too darn short to let this stop you. Get it done.

The shaft in my winder is shot as well, just gonna run it the way it is and hope it stays together to finish this season. Hopefully new shafts are available this coming spring. My sled still has over 2 years left on the warranty so off to the dealer for a new shaft then. Already have the BOP Mcwedgie to install after getting a new shaft.

Wow!
they know the severity of this major problem since awhile .

The drive shaft are BO for the season? Really!?!? Total :crap:

Have a shaft with 800 miles that is tight for sale if anyone is looking. $200 shipped in US.

I also have one that still tightens with BOP adjuster. Drivers are worn but if in a pinch and local it will get you going.

There is another company out there Black Diamond I think that makes them as well.

They do, but when I spoke to them 2-weeks ago they were out of stock and couldn't give me an eta.
Ended up finding a good used shaft in New York for this year. I will order a BDX shaft for next year though.

One of the amazing vendors here should start make these shafts with proper bearing tolerances!!! They would make a pile of money!!!

Does anyone have an update on the axle situation? I still haven't seen one for my sled

I just got a complete axle with drivers for my X-TX to keep as a spare without any delay...but it has 3" drivers unlike most that have the 2.86" drivers.
