A split sleeve? Otherwise how does a sleeve go over the splines?I just had my axle bearing surface machined & a sleeve made to fit the shaft & bearing.

is that the black diamond shaft?
It looks to be the shaft used in the Cat Mountain sleds. Jackshaft is hollow and Driveshaft is Aluminum just like that.is that the black diamond shaft?

It’s all good, I do all my own work. I knew it had a risk. Was told some high hp sleds were using it with success. The sled is turned up on a 116 octane tune (over 30 psi). Worked fine until I pushed it to 400 hp. Sure made a mess when it let loose. Luckily I’ll have all the parts tomorrow.BDX shaft are JUNK and strong enough for tomatoes plants... yours look even more solid inside

Well since the new axles are on back order and I didn't have time to remove, weld, and turn my axle in between trips. I came up with a fix. I had some shim stock available at industrial supply store. I measured the new bearing and worn shaft. There was .018 difference I cut the .008 shim stock to fit in the bearing put it back together and used the BOP wedge. 1200 miles later it still looks good.

Wow!
they know the severity of this major problem since awhile .
The drive shaft are BO for the season? Really!?!? Total
They're all back ordered. Probably cause they're waiting for another boat load of quality junk from China.
