Is there going to be one for the brake disc too?
As always, good work! Ill be picking up one as soon as your done with them.
I really don't find the oem rotor protector to be a bad design. Its got a gradual approach angle that allows it to glide over things. Will decide once the chaincase protector is done!
Got my samples back yesterday and fit them up. Other than moving a few holes I think its pretty much finalized. Going to go with 1/8" 6061 as the oem protector will remain in place. The approach angle on the protector is a nice smooth transition with no snag points. Very solid piece once bolted in place! Did my fit up on the sidewinder and then jumped over to a 16 Viper just to be sure its the same. Turns out the viper has a different rivet that interferes and the belly panel contour interferes a bit too. The rivet will need to be ground down and then punched out. I then was able to move the hole in the protector so it aligns with the rivet hole and utilized as one of the mounting holes. The 3rd and 4th pictures show the rivet and panel trimming on the viper. Pictures 1 and 2 show the protector bolted on Sidewinder. Final plate will only have 2 holes on each end.
