Hey guys...the Stealth Black looks great but it's kind of finicky when cleaning it. What is the best stuff to use to clean the hood without losing the FLAT black color?

I would be worried as well. Maybe you should also ask at a paint shop.

I use honda cleaner for my sled and my motorcycles. It works great and the shine will last. I use it on all the plastic makes everything look good. You can buy it at any honda dealer or motorcycle / atv shop.

I forgot to add the honda cleaner will work great on the flat blak also. It will look new becaus eits a cleaner too. It will not polish just a cleaner with a kind of wax in it. If you cant find the honda cleaner Plexus plastic cleaner works very good also. They both come in a spray can and are very easy to use.

I second the Honda Polish. Honda has made some bikes with the same finish (flat black) and I am sure it is fine.

The flat black is actually a rough texture (feels like paint with no clear coat) so it actually can attract dirt easier. I started using Lemon Pledge on mine and it actually allowed most moisture and crud to not stick and dry out, keeping it looking clean longer.

Oh, another good all around cleaner/spray wax is Harley Gloss.

There are actually allot of good toy care products at your harley dealer. S100 is an excellent engine/suspension all around cleaner you can spray on and hose off, the chome polish is a very good metal protector (like carnuba wax smooth), allong with many other things.

You could try meguair's #34. It is called final inspection. It looks like water and smells like bubble gum.

If you go to a Auto Body Supply Store....they will have some, or can get you some.....or, if you are ever in Guelph visiting Royal.....I am right behind them.

Tried Plexus tonight...does a great job and doesn't make it shiny....just looks cleaner now.

Where are you in Niagara? I'm in fenwick. I'm thinking of an 05 RX. I've got three 2 strokes but its time to make the change. What do you think?
