I have a friend that had 5000kms on a stock belt and he dont drive easy. I currently have 2000kms on my stock belt and its been abused. Ice raced and everything. Thanks Joe.
You can’t take a high hp drag car and race it up a down the street without some type of issue.
I ran my LTX Winder last season hard for for over 3200 trail miles. Yes I rode it hard but not like a idiot. I blew 2 belts in approx 2800 miles riding like this. About the same result as I ever got out of a 1200 or a 800 doo. That being said I think my Winder faired well with the belts.
I also rode mile for mile with my riding partner and he blew more belts on his 850 renegade doo than I did and I was miles ahead all the time.
Yes there is a wide range of Winder owners in the belt longevity but you can’t just blame it on the unit.

Ran the new helix set up today with several long pulls across re frozen lakes and seeing 115 mph. Have seen faster speeds with factory helix. Clutches seem cooler. May try 3/3 to see if I can get speeds back up to 120. Belt still looks good so far

What Helix you running. I'm running a dalton 33/35 with the O/B spring. I pulled 122 on the lake with this setup. I'm wrapped at 3/3. If i go to 6/1 your saying i will lose some of that top speed?Ran the new helix set up today with several long pulls across re frozen lakes and seeing 115 mph. I am running the 33/35 with TP orange secondary spring wrapped 50. My speeds were on a lake with snow packed trail. I am not saying this set up was the culprit to slower speeds it may be the snow conditions more than likely. I did notice I have a stuck primary roller I can’t spin with my finger. I moved the clutch sheave and still can’t move it. What effect will that have on the primary ???What Helix you running. I'm running a dalton 33/35 with the O/B spring. Alot. I had a stuck one also but didn't take any chances and replaced them all. See my other posts. My set up is now very smooth and fast, the way this sled was advertised.I am running the 33/35 with TP orange secondary spring wrapped 50. My speeds were on a lake with snow packed trail. O/B is supposed to be wrapped 6/1 as per dalton’s instructions

Dalton is a B/O.....not visa versa.
3/3 on the dalton B/O can be tried but it will be quite light on backpressure, I would only test this on speed runs as it may give you and extra mph or two. But 6/1 is a better setting that should clamp down enough on belt for less slippage and offer good backshift.

Blew my belt at 1,800 miles. EHO problem ( Empty Headed Operator) however. In a hectic garage environment while on a trip, with sleds being repaired, thawed etc., I adjusted the belt the wrong way, while trying to raise the belt on the secondary, .....aka dumb..ss. Otherwise could have gone to 3,000 miles or more on this that belt. Lesson learned...pay attention.

FYI, Belt deflection will have ZERO impact on whether or not a belt blows.

Are you saying you had belt so tight it got burned idling or something? As Mike mentioned, once you are moving deflection does ZERO, as the components and springs dictate where belt rides.Blew my belt at 1,800 miles. EHO problem ( Empty Headed Operator) however. Check your primary rollers ,the bushing warns out pretty fast! On my Nytro i drove 6000 before i had to change the primary rollers One my Sidewinder they are junk after 1000. It cant be the same bushing they now are using in the Sidewinder rollers

I kinda think I would, just for bragging rights. But don't want to take a chance and with old belt and lake runs.
