So I got this bottle of Boostane I opened two years ago. I understand it degrades over time. Can it still be used to increase octane to some unspecific level.
Basically, does it still do something?

Why not call boostane? They are pretty good to talk to on the phone.

Tech explained to swirl it around and dump it in a clear container, you're looking for that typical golden color. Any sediment/discoloration and it's not to be used, as the product is breaking down.

If you need to buy some new, I have an over abundance of the stuff and am trying to clear some out (all purchased in October) due to the lack of snow.

No wonder your stuff doesn't work! You have Premium there not Professional!
Just kidding!! Takes more premium than professional to get to same octane. Put it in your bike or your car. Get Professional from Ulmer.

Huh, bud, I'm on a low output tune. I dont even need it. I only use it\or have it with me in the event of a batch of bad fuel.
You know what they say about an ounce of prevention, dont you?!?!
Lol....I forget the rest.
With that said, its all the same. Just a different mix ratio. Right? Lol

Yes, but being old it could be a crap shoot

Actually premium can only take 91 to 100 with reasonable %. 101 max but takes 3x the amount than to 100. Where as pro gets you to 114 if you want to use enough.

Yeah, my honest thinking was, if my sled didn't need the additional octane, it wouldn't hurt anything to throw it in there. That's all. I meant.

Idk, I thought it was just a larger quantity as they only come in 32 oz containers.
And that you would just mix more per gallon to achieve the desired octane number. Thanks for the explanation, I didn't know.

I don't use Boostane Professional I have been using Boostane Marine and carry it in 5oz flasks for trail fuel stops...LOL...I like to be different.

I wish I could have found something like that in 2oz. I use plastic, and left some boostane in it. You can see the plastic deteriorating within the plastic container.
So, IMHO, plastic can be used for day trips, etc. just wouldn't leave it in there for any great length of time.
Nice one, Bob!

Marine is the same as professional. It probably costs more because it says marine Bust Out Another Thousand

I bought some 4oz aluminum bottles from the following company for about $1.60 each. They have a lot of different options including glass.

I just ordered 2.5 oz slim aluminum bottles off the site. That'll raise octane 4 points (91 to 95 octane). Thanks for the link Dan.
