Would any one have Viper used head ? I'm looking to grab Cam cap off it for my Viper. I was fixing valve cover gasket and when I took it off noticed where the bolt threads on it was cracked. Used a pick to check it and it came apart.

Try Ulmer.. he may.

Also ask if its matched to the head. Might end up better off getting it welded and retapped.

It doesn't have to be a Viper head. Any of the FI 3 cylinder heads will work, Vector, Nytro, Viper. I don't know if you could get away with just a cap replacement but there are heads out there with damaged valves. If you do try just a replacement cap make sure you check the clearance with plastigage. Try Barn of Parts.

The caps are matched to the head but you might get away with running one off another head.
It's tough welding cast, especially after it's been exposed to oils. If it's welded and then eventually brakes loose you could have a chunk of metal rolling around in the engine.
