I'm going to have a fix for post wear. Had some sample bushings machined late last year and just now getting around to test fitting them. Should be around a $20 fix.

It sure is pretty fits bang on.
The arm is well engineered, but is the skate better than a wheel? Wouldn't a wheel be less parasitic, albeit very slightly?

I believe you can still run the wheel if you want. I have been running the skate with no issuesThe arm is well engineered, but is the skate better than a wheel? Wouldn't a wheel be less parasitic, albeit very slightly?

Actually the bend radius on the skate is actually smoother because the radius of the skate is larger than the wheel. There might be a little higher coefficient of friction, but not something I'd worry about on a trail sled. The arm is well engineered, but is the skate better than a wheel? You can not run the wheel, it will not fit the billet tensioner.I believe you can still run the wheel if you want. I have been running the skate with no issues

I installed the PEFI skate in my 2017 before this past season and it is a very nicely built piece.Actually the bend radius on the skate is actually smoother because the radius of the skate is larger than the wheel. There might be a little higher coefficient of friction, but not something I'd worry about on a trail sled.

I contacted pefi out of curiosity. They confirmed that you can use the roller wheel with there HD tensioner. When you purchase the arm you have the option of buying it with or without the skateActually the bend radius on the skate is actually smoother because the radius of the skate is larger than the wheel. I’m only telling you what I have firsthand experience with. The stock roller will not fit into the billet tensioner. It bottoms out before you can line the pin up with the hole.I contacted pefi out of curiosity. They confirmed that you can use the roller wheel with there HD tensioner. Interesting. I wonder if there are different sizes on the wheels?I’m only telling you what I have firsthand experience with. The stock roller will not fit into the billet tensioner. It bottoms out before you can line the pin up with the hole.

Is there a reason that you seem to want to run the wheel? The skate works, and as stated above, puts less radius on the chain.Interesting. I wonder if there are different sizes on the wheels?

Someone else was asking which was better and I thought they were interchangeable on that tensioner when they aren’t despite what the manufacturer says lol
