What's the deal on the manual chain tensioner ??
Are they saying it has to be serviced at 500 miles or EVERY 500 miles ?.
I've also read that it's a PITA to get to.
Anybody have some intel on this service interval and how to get at it ??

My manual says initial 300 miles and every 500 miles after initial
Its no different setup than our other Yamahas. They are being careful. Watch it during breakin and once it all settles I do once a season along with the regular oil change.
So at the 300 mile mark are you taking off the cover to set the tension or doing it by feel?
I will take it off and drain then adjust by feel. After that yearly.
