I have 5400 miles on my 17 winder, lower drive shaft brake side inner race bearing chewed drive shaft .060. #*$&@ design. Also pull the top gear with no oil holes and it was about 006 bigger then a new one. Not a lot of slop but enough. Checked the chain tensioner and I was shocked to see the screws still in place on the roller but still tacked them to be safe. Between the drive and the rollover valve and crappy oil tank seal I’m on the fence about getting another Yama Cat. They need to make some small fixes and the sled could be outstanding.
We have almost 2000 on my wife’s winder and her oil case case seal went and I am scarred to pull the drive shaft to see if that’s eaten away.
