I tried the soft start spring this past weekend and its buttery smooth and the engagement is great. However, noticeable reduction in hard hitting acceleration. The sled just felt soft thorough the powerband. But for the first time I hit 100mph on the speed and could never breay 90mph with the G-W-G!

Yep, add the thunder product shims if you want that hard hitting mid range back. start with 4mm increase to 6mm for mid range. Quick and easy to do just pull clutch cover. less shims more top, more shims more mid

No real difference just usually easier to get. 2mm in my testing was not enough, try 4mm.

Maybe not, extensive testing with COTC showed 4mm was the sweet spot for top end.

I started hitting the rev limiter hard toady all day every time I hammer the throttle and wide open runs I think it's time to put the 4,5g weights! On wide open run it would go to 9250 wack the limiter and rpm's would drop to 8800 the climb back to 9250 over and over! If the 4,5g weights aren't enough May try a gates belt from what I read this belt will lower rpm a little compared to 8dn!

Well added 4,5 gram rivet and I still hitting the limiter hard every time I hammer the throttle and when running wide open on the lakes!! I have the air box mod and sandale pipe! Weird cause I wasn't hitting it throughout the season It just started this week!!
Any suggestions?? Primary I have the gwg spring with 4mm shims 8FP weights with 4.5grams in tip
secondary 45 39 helix with stock spring
The sled won't go over 150km/h because of the drop of rpm when wacking the limiter speed drop the goes back up then drops over and over
8DN belt

That's a good problem to have! Add some weight, each gram should drop the rpm about 200 rpm. Also if you are set 6-1 on the secondary try 3-3, will drop rpm a bit and give a little less mid range and more top.
