This pic would be fine. Not sure whats different but definitly a big difference between this and Yamamarcs pic I quoted. Mine was just like Yamamarcs before they cracked.View attachment 115536 like this
Not if you dont run it in overdrive(gear) or if you machine the pocket. How's this hurting anything? I've done this for years. Stock Yamaha springs will bind otherwise.

I have about 4 brands of helix's and have never seen the ends of them stab the buttons....I can see the ends hitting the buttons upon installation, but once installed no.
Perhaps file the end off the button where the tip contacts.
I'd love to see pics.

Then look at the pic in first post this page. With very minor wear the corner will stab. Looks to be some Helix are longer and not a issue but mine is and so is the one in pic.
Here it is again. Highlighted in red circle

strange that you had one with short(er) towers....
Thats not mine. Its Yamamarcs. Here is mine with NO washers. Big difference.
Its the stock secondary. Has to be the Helix thats different.strange that you had one with short(er) towers....
And running a 8dn belt length would not help the matter.
Hey Stingray two problems! 8dn length and those washers. Sorry bud.

What brand is that helix Cannondale? I am betting it's pre-modded for overdrive and no binding. Shorter tower and NO washers will still open up like the longer towers in the other pics with washers....provided your pocket is a little deeper too.
Just says K on it. Do you have a dimension for pocket depth off the tower surface? I will pull it and do the math. I no longer need to worry about binding since I am geared way higher than stock. But others may.
