Hey stingray my wrap is at 3-3 You think I should add weight to the next hole lower from tip? I'm guessing that I would need weights about 6 to 6.5 grams in tip the way I'm wacking the limiter it's hitting hard even with 4.5 grams. (not sure where I could find that size maybe led ones maybe or stainless steel bolts with stover washers???)That's a good problem to have! Add some weight, each gram should drop the rpm about 200 rpm. Also if you are set 6-1 on the secondary try 3-3, will drop rpm a bit and give a little less mid range and more top.
I'm not complaining I know it's making hp the sled pulls hard on launch just need to keep it off limiter. Having a hard time keeping skis on the snow...lol
think gates belt will drop rpm a bit?
thanks
Marc

MPI has brass rivets that are about 7 grams, but I would add to center hole first as that is easier to get rivets for.

Okay I think I may have found the issue??? I was looking at the clutch rivets and the ones I put in were suppose to be 4.5 grams but upon looking at pics the 4.5 gram weights aren't aluminum and are steel rivets( gold color)! The ones I put in are solid (no hole threw) and look to be aluminum but maked 4.5 on packaging from pioneer! Am I right??? Are the 4.5 gram rivet a goldish color? I tried to weigh them before installing the but my kitchen scale wouldn't read weight correctly! I just bought 3.1 g for center hole they are steel (gold color) but if I have the wrong ones in tip I will replace them! I haven't pulled the clutch apart again yet but will shortly

yamamarc.....this chart should help you to identify the rivets that you're working with. If you can't accurately weigh them you can measure the length of the rivet to find out what you have.

thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!! now I know I' ve been running with wrong weights!! If anyone else is hitting limiter make sure you have the proper weights (gold color rivets)!!! The original ones that I put in with cotc ordered from Pioneer were aluminum with a hole threw them and I ordered what was supposed to be 4.5grams (solid) in case I needed more weight but were the wrong ones I guess !Yes, the 4.5 are gold color and long with no hole.

Thanks Nos pro!!! You wouldn't have the correct part # for 4.5 grams( I can go back and check but if you have it on hand it would be great)
