Well as a lot of you already know,i crashed my winder in my back yard into a tree, and I was thrown and have torn MCL and ACL and broke knee cap, well that's not all,i have aortic stenosis, and need heart valve replacement surgery. Ok I knew,i was needing that surgery in a few months,so I thought, well after my two day tests in the hospital that will do the surgery I need,i now got very bad news yesterday, you need to stay right here till we can operate,i said like now, what I thought we were going to do the TAVA surgery, nope we need to do stat,if you want to live, well I guess I do,but my sled is finally ready for its maiden run and I really need to be on board,he chuckled, not this year,WTF I said, man only me and my s*!t luck, but it gets worse lol my younger son,was really going to be there this Monday when the split me open, well not now. he works in eastern main medical in bangor maine,so he is close in case he needs anything right, well as of this early afternoon,he got a meal ready, went to sitdown on his recliner, and booted one of his dogs out of his chair so he could sit down, well he fall in between the recliner somehow and breaks his ankle,in two,and breaks his bone directly in front of his foot, and will be in his hospital he works at for 3-5 days, depending on the surgery, and how things go. He is so mad,he wanted to be there for Dad,me but cant, and we both have not ridded our sleds this year either. So sorry it was so long, but I really wanted to at least ride it long enough to call steve the (shoc Doc) to let him know how good his repair /valve job was,and to let all you guys who have been cheering me on all year,Sorry guys I wont be able to do this till next year,God willing. Well all things happen according to his will, not mine,so he has something special planned for me,i think.... The beastmaster is ready with its Evo-stg 4 and all the other goodies it now has on it,so my other son will have to report back to snowbeast,on my Beastmonster sidewinder... Cheers guys. Pete

Let's get this straight Beasty! You have a torn ACL, broken front shock, torn MCL & hood panels, bent frame, broken knee cap, bent handlebars, concussion in your head & front engine compartment, need a new heart valve & intercooler, and your son can't be with you for surgery because your CRAPPY luck shifted to your son's snapped ankle? I was mad i broke a clutch spring & had the runs in the same day! Guess i better re-think my anger a little...

P.S. When you get out of surgery can you PLEASE use some periods to end sentences. My girl thinks i'm watching porn breathing so heavy reading your posts...lol

P.S. 2 Good luck & we'll see you on that 'Winder soon!!!!!

Pete, you certainly have been handed a $h!tball sandwich. Here's to hoping things only go up from here. Best of luck with the surgery and hope you have a speedy recovery! The sled will be waiting for you when you are ready.

Keep your chin up!

Pete will be thinking about you all week. Give me a call as soon as you can so I can tell you about last ride. Things will be going 180deg for the better now I just know it. Good people get tried and tested most. It's definitely your turn to have things go your way.

Wow, talk about too much happening at the same.

Here's hoping that all turns out well for you and yours.

I went through the knee thing 2 seasons ago but only on 1, operation worked wonders, it is now my best one.

One of my older brothers had his ticker repaired (blockage) a few years ago when he was 63, said he felt much better then he has felt in years after the procedure. I shall be that age in 1.5 myself.

So yeah hang in there and give it all enough time for recovery. You shall be back in the saddle soon enough. 8 months of recovery before you ride again may be a good thing. After all, you did not mod this thing to do 25 mph on trails, so hold on to that passion until next year, and keep the faith in what seems like medical marvels now a days!

All you guys are great, man its nice to see such a great family as we have here on totallyamaha. Over the years I have been a member,i have met some of the nicest friends anyone could ask for. I can tell you all,i am a tad scared for this one,ya I may have had 13 major surgeries before this one,but I am putting this one in a special place,in our Lords Hands, cause God knows we cant do any thing about any of this, except say prays. And for all you doing that,Thank you so much from the bottom of my old sick heart,Aortic Valve sick lol. I will be back on board talking to all of you in maybe a week,so hopefully I will have some good words to speak about, well I guess I already do,my son Scot who broke his ankle had surgery this morning, and as far as I know, all went well. Oh I just came back from hugging my winder, tried to start it,but its almost out of gas,my bud and older son had it running last night,so that's a very good sign lol,and it looks so much more complete, with hood on.
