CrazySledder's "Re-done" Supercharged Attak.

Okay, I'm at the end of my patience here with my Hartman bumper. The little brass pressed inserts, one came loose and has made life very bad for me. I may have cross threaded it, which would explain why it came loose. I've tried to fix it, short of MIG welding it, and everything has failed so I'm moving on. I'm thinking to fab one tonight at work, but it would not be made of Aluminum then. I really don't care about a couple lbs, but would still like to have a aluminum bumper. I may just call Tom H. and see how much a new one is?

Bring on the ideas......

Here's some pics of how the rear end looks. The bumper I use must allow all the L.E.D's to be seen.

Vince
Familyman has a mtn performance aluminum bumper. it may take a few slight bends or spacers, but it looks good. Maxdlx

I bought it for my rtx, but the stock bumper worked just fine.

I bought it from mp for $46.00. Well give it to you for $20 shipped. :o|

Vince,
I'm not sure if this will help you or not, but I think that Hartman uses a bumper from a Ski Doo. I've got a bumper from a Ski Doo Summit mounted on my 136" SRX and I know that they are the same width as the Yamaha tunnels.

Heck with it. I'm just going to find something at the hardware store tomorrow. I can't be wasting anymore time on this thing. I haven't begun my supercharger and gages install yet. I have lots of other stuff to do also. This project is almost turning unpleasant for me. Just working way to many #$%&* #$%&* #$%&* hours. I just want it done at this point. These sled projects are usually fun for me each year, but 75+ hours a week plus 2 hours on the road every day doesn't leave me much time. :o|

Worse comes to worst, I'll just drill them out and run Allen head bolts all the way through the damn thing and call it a day.

Thanks guys for the couple of you that offered ideas. It's appreciated. I'm just starting to get really frustrated here. If you can't tell.

What do you all think of my rear lighting tho.....pretty kool, huh? I like it. I should be able to be seen pretty good. lol

....ABSOLUTELY COOL :-o

You can come and do mine, but under the Front End

Thanks, Bounty. Wait till you see the finished L.E.D's on the entire sled. I still have 10 more lights yet to install. lol Yep, she'll be bright. lol
What'll be cool, is I'm wiring the "chirp" of my alarm system into most of the lights also. It should look pretty awesome. I can see myself now.....
ARM......DISARM....ARM....DISARM. Just to see the lights come on and off. lol
Should make a kool joke on someone also.

it looks really sweet Vince. You aren't going to run and hide from anyone in the dark though, so you had better get that SC in it so you can out run them. LOL Maxdlx

LMAO.....Glad I'm at that age where I don't need to that anymore. lol

The way I figure it, is I can now say I'm a pretty bright guy. lol

Hey vince looks great! I hear on the 'no more fun' thing they are always fun in the summer but with ridable snow around a month and half away (possible belive it when I see it) the pressure is on. Dont worry though the Sc install with be cake for you and gauges, its just gauges :) (trying to be inspirational here I have a lot of work left on mine too!)

Looks good take a day off and dedicate 10-12 hours on that bad boy and the rest will be down hill.

Vince....clocks ticking!

Tick Tock.....Tick Tock.....

Nice :bling

If you dont get it done, you cant out run me........... :jump:

LMAO......

If I gotta spend all 4 days during turkey day vacation wrenching, I will. lol
It'll be close, but I may just make my Dec.1rst deadline. I need to be done so I can have 2 weeks of testing before the first TY ride in Houghton.

I also have another issue to work out. My darn track rubs on my protectors. I can still rotate the track by hand, but it rubs a little. I should just take them protectors out? I'm not running any studs, so I really don't need them. All they seem to do is collect ice anyway.

Is there any other reason I should leave them in?

Thanks, I'm feeling a bit better today. It just sucks that a guy has to feel pressure for this sort of thing. It's suppose to be fun...not so much work. lol

Fear not, I will prevale.

I you're not running studs, the only thing those protectors are good for is collecting a big load of snow and ice. Before you know it, you lugging around a 10lb block of ice.

Rip those things out! ... I did.....
