I got an email from Curve Industries stating that they have updated bushing to correct fitment issue on 2015+ Vipers and Sidewinders. I installed mine last season and remember having to do something out of the normal so I pulled a ski tonight. I had to add several washers to make up the space between the ski and spindle so I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to see what I need to correct it.

Another concern I have is that the Curves are darting which I never experienced when running them on my Nytro. I thought maybe the ski rubbers were in backwards because the skis hang horizontal but when I took the rubbers out I found no difference in thickness front to back. I've read that some are saying they have a thicker side. Does anyone have a picture of the ski rubbers or have any idea what the correct rubber for the Viper should look like. I guess I could shim the ones I have to raise the tips.

I have a mount kit still in the bag here. The rubber is thicker and steeper on one side

Just looked it up on their site. The set I have here is xs30611. The new 2015+ number is xs30621

This is what I got for rubbers with their mount kit.

I bought Curve ski's about a month ago at the Novi snow show. My rubbers don't look like that. They're thicker on one side. Also, mine must have had the updated bushing because they fit perfectly. The only part on mine that was a loose fit was where the loop rolls back and fasten to the ski.

Griz, hopefully you can tell from this pic. I want to try to exchange them so don't want to take them out of the package but the right side is higher and a steeper angle

Those are definitely different than mine.

Is there a part number on the bag?

Yes I posted it above. It is not the one they have listed for 2015 and up Viper now. It is listed for arctic cat procross now.

View attachment 124015 This is what my bushings look like and fit perfectly. They have a shoulder and press fit into the ski from the inside pocket, where the rubber sits. It also uses the plastic offsetting spacer as shown.

Interesting comments on the rubbers. Curve sent me new bushings last season, but my rubbers are definitely equal. I have had darting issues particularly on decel. I bought some slim jims doolys last year at Mr Sled's suggestion, but never installed due to lack of snow.

I shimmed mine last season to raise the tips and it was much too positive and hard to steer.

I've passed this info along to Nick at Curve.

Just got mine in the mail today. The Rubbers seem to be a different height front to back, I have not opened yet just by eye!

I ended up shimming mine too last year because of a little darting. Would love to get a pair of these new rubbers.

I talked to Cody at Curve Industries and they have updated the ski rubbers along with the bushings. Due to customer complaints about the difficulties mounting the skis and the skis tendency to dart on the Viper they made the needed changes. The new rubbers are thicker in the back to help raise the ski tips and designed to make installation easier. Also the bushings dimension are now corrected to properly fit the ski to the spindles.

They are sending out the correct mounting kit at no charge. How do you beat that for taking care of their customers. Again, another reason I stick with Curves.

That was fast. Talked to them yesterday and the updated mounting kit is at my door the next morning. How do you beat that for service. ;)!;)!
