Call Curve industries and talk to them, they are very helpful with setup assistance that is specific to your sled and riding style. After coming off Snowtrackers on my Vector LTX, I have noticed that my Viper with the Tuners seems to dart and push in the corners more than my Vector. It isn't bad, and I love the Viper ride so much that I really hardly noticed it. If I were to get Curves for my Viper (137" track, not studded) it sounds like the 6" shapers and leading edge would be the best package, but which leading edge would I want, the 2" or the 4"?

Thanks guys I'll be looking at the Curves in the future. The whole dual keel is nice to minimize darting, but when turning really shows it's weakness. I just keep thinking about hockey skates doing a spray stop with dual blades.
White, black, or blue?
Thinking black rather than adding more of the dominant color.

Curve says that they don't recommend any more than 6" carbide. I would like to run Shapers. Would consider Bergstrom triples if he makes them. Curious if anyone has run longer carbide on theirs and what sort of feedback?
Looking at the 6" shapers on the Doo I see a potential need for another wear pad on the flat ahead of the cutters. The angled one up front is OK, but the host bar looks to wear quickly between the pad and the cutters. The 7.5" closes this gap and the 9" I would imagine eliminates it.

Bergstrom makes Curve specific carbides. I run 8" Triplepoints on my Apex XTX. I have no idea why Sean or Nick would recommend nothing longer than 6" though. Maybe they feel you don't need any longer on a Viper

I have 6 inch round bars and the steering feels a little heavy. I know feeling is totally subjective. I have the limiter straps all the out and center spring with no pre-load. I have the front shocks at 65, 130 with the Hygear duals. Any suggestions to make it lighter feeling? It's not terrible and not complaining just wondering if there is anything else I can do. The sled rides like it is on rails and doesn't push or dart so they are awesome skis.
I ran 6" Bergstroms with ski savers when I ran Curves. Good combo. I don't see any reason not to run 8" if you want and never found them too aggressive. I never ran the leading edge or found a need to. It also doesn't hurt to shim them. I had the usual uneven front carbide wear when running Curves unshimmed on this chassis. That goes for other skis I've run also.

450 miles on my curves this year. D&D and curves actually put on a demo day today in our area to ride the new cats, viper and then try the sleds with curve skis on. Riding the exact same sled back to back with stock skis and then curves the difference is VERY noticeable. Stock ski procross sleds all darted bad and had bad pushing problems, jump on the same exact sled with curves and darting was zero, no push at all in the corners and you could ride the sled one handed at higher speeds and be completely in control. Had lunch with nick from curves and chatted a bit about the skis and he has done his homework and knows exactly what u need and customer service is top notch!

Was it harder to turn the bars with the Curves over the stock tuners? If it did require more effort, about how much more would you say? I know that's a hard question to answer. Also do you know what carbides were used?

To me it was less effort.

Interesting. Might have to add them to the stuff to buy for next year list.

After this past weekend riding in fresh snow conditions on the trails with my tuners, 6" triple ponts inside, hard bars outside, rear of rubbers shimmed with 3/8 shims I am looking at maybe putting on a set of curves. Way too much push for my liking. I have not tried to adjust the center shock from the stock position, but I am also not sure just doing that would be the result I am looking for. So anyways can someone please tell me how wide the curves are at their widest part? I want to make sure they will fit in the trailer if I decide to add them to both sleds. Also do you think the stock 4" carbides that come with the curves will be enough to at least get me through the end of the season? I am not studded and its a 129 rtx se. Oh and do you think the leading edge is really a needed accessory on the viper? I read on the curve site that it only helps in real hard and icy conditions. The viper already has light ski pressure so would it really suffer from that much darting that one would need to spend another $80 on the leading edge? Thanks!

I have the 4 inch leading edge and it darts a little on plowed roads at low speed. Otherwise I can steer one handed at 70.
