Did Ski-Doo just match Yamaha in the 4 stroke department?

Ski Doo is great at marketing you have to admit.
They came in at 180, but we all know it's over 200 just like Cat & Yam did.
Kinda like catching a dude banging your girlfriend. Instead of fighting him, you bang HIS girl instead.

This is gonna be GREEEAAAAAT!!!!!!

Understandably your confidence is shattered.
Did you find the cause of your oil issue? Rollover valve or breather hose freeze up? Are you running BOP updated oil tank gasket?
Was your buddy top gear OEM part or the upgraded wider gear and metal fork pads?
Was the exhaust on your old winder stock or upgraded due to some tunes?

My questions are not trying to excuse anything. Depending on your answers/experience it might help me and others come to proper decision for a next sled.

So you say self induced. So no aftermarket fix for any of them?

Jolly olypopper what exactly is a cake hole is that were you put the gas to make your Ski Doo run.

One problem was i bought the first year Winder so NOBODY knew about the "fixes" until after i had the problems.
Heck, i have Travis' personal #.
Some of the issues took 3 years to "fix", but i'm not here to bash.
I've got another 3500 miles to go to get my 6000 this year

Not a DOO guy yet. I'm going to test ride the Matrix hopefully this week.
I thought of building an Apex with R-Motion rear, but it's just old technology that wouldn't be an everyday sled.
Some of my problems were self induced i admit.
I also admit i ride hard. ALL DAY! 15 hours if they'll let me. I ride hard on the 15th hour also.
The other issues were Arctic Crap engineering.
My bud brought his downed Winder to a shop this week. They did 11 chain cases in 1 day.

ELEVEN!!!!!!!!! ONE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Please Please Please don't tell me there isn't a problem there.
I have NO doubt that other sleds will have issues, but NOT everyday stupid things like a bearing that falls off the shaft.
I really want to stay Yamaha, but not AC. I'm not bitter, I'm just older & wiser now.

P.S: I don't like DOO talk
P.S2: With the miles i put on, i should trade up every other year anyways so a 2 stroke is in the mix
There is defiantly a problem!

Stock to stock?
We'll see
I believe with launch control, the Mach will be so far ahead that it will take a big lake.
Don't forget the Winder has "180" claimed horsepower.
Throw in the fact the AC chassis robs a ton of power & speed.

Again, my buds 190 ACE will take my other buds stock Winder so i think with everything being equal & STOCK, it's gonna be a race!

This is gonna be fun.
I'm pulling for Yamaha, but i'm thinking they just got outclassed
First of all, no one here is going to be beat by a Mach Z! The reason why I know this is, no one is going to spend 20,000.00 plus on a snowmobile in the first place! A guy comes back from the local Ski Doo dealer and says, Hey hunny I just spent twenty grand on a new sled! She will say that's great because I am taking my mom now and I am going to spend twenty grand on new furniture!!! So that sled will end up costing FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS! No sled is worth forty grand!

There's plenty of guys who'll pony up for the new Mach Z....

Winders here in Canada are over 20 grand out the door with taxes.
And there are shiiiiiiiiit tons of them on the trails, 80% of them tuned! The trails will be full of new Mach Z's, guaranteed & I live in the poorest Provence in Canada! Haha

In April of 2018 I paid 12,400 for my 2018 winder. Add 300 for a 5 year warranty. Plus Yamaha gave me 0 percent for five years! Boy have things changed! LOL

‘Sounds like you boys in the Midwest are pvssy-whipped into not buying sleds! I’d spend 20k if it comes with a drink holder.

There will be a lot of hype and optimism by the Ski Doo faithful in the next 6 weeks but next season at the end of the lake there will only be one winner...

There's no doubt that Ski Doo has brought some new and exciting technology to their faithful but I don't think that the new Mach Z has enough to unseat the SW as King of the Lake.

Let the fun begin. I really like this time of the year!
I love the wrap on your sled you should be working for big Y because I just got a woody wow that looks great.

I paid 12.700 for my 2017 that spring. I have bought a couple of new sleds that way, at the end of the riding season when dealers want them out of inventory.
The order only program put the kibosh on these sweet leftover deals you used to be able to get in March....
