Did Ski-Doo just match Yamaha in the 4 stroke department?

I understand there is problems. There is also many problems with trail riders doing same things. Vast majority of my time is trail riding but I also off trail legally. About all you can do is join a club and work even a little helps and in my mind gives you the ammunition to confront the goons illegally riding. Make them embarrassed. Once a area gets a reputation for self policing the trails we work so hard on the word gets around quickly and it does work.

My 2 cents. I'm so glad Yamaha stopped 2 strokes back when. Can't stand the lingering smell of two strokes in my helmet at all. I mean riding along in open country fresh air and scenery then throttle jockey motorcross wanna bees coming screwing by screwing up the corners and trails mean while polluting the hell out it. I can imagine how there clothes stink as well.
I'm blessed that I have the money and resources to goof off during the week were I can ride weekdays and none of that weekend crap per say. I hike weedends up were no machines are allowed.

Clearly you haven't brushed up on Yamaha's offerings lately. They are selling the Cat 800 sdi in their sleds again and also selling the 65hp 400cc single in the new entry level and small adult segment. Yamaha bailed on their faithful and have finally realized they needed to bring 2 strokes back.

The problem here in VT/NH is there is NO PLACE for off trail riding!!! If you ride off-trail it better be on your own land or you better have written permission. It is a huge problem here and land is getting shut off because of it. If the paper companies here start to shut off land , we are in big trouble, and they HATE off trail riders!!!
Sorry for the off topic rant, but here on the east coast, with the exception of maybe Maine, Off trail riding is getting to be a big issue, it starting to close trails for us trail guys.

Sure is. And they have been closing them. And the off trail riders hate us even mentioning not to do it. We have a right blah blah. And they won't even try to get permission from grant areas etc. They just do it and have gone underground in social media due to the heat their getting. But they won't quit.

I say if they are ticketed, they should lose the right to register a sled for 2 years in that state. It is that big of an issue.

The clubs, like ours, work hard to reroute when an idiot tears up seedlings, outside the marked trails. Most of the riding is trails, so when I see nitwits with mountain sleds on our trails, well, isn't too hard to figure out who is doing it.

Yeah.. I get that, here you would have to trailer to the Highlands or NFLD or Quebec to get the deep stuff and mountains, we only get a foot or two at best in this area with a very short window it seems before its rained away, but still lots of them running the trails here as trail sleds I guess is my point.

Uuuuuuum, you need to get out & explore more, there are tons of places in NB to experience very deep snow, 2021 is worst snowfall in years & there's still 4 feet of snow.

Yes.. I forgot about NB, tons of snow there, and I would love to go there for a trip, lots to see and great people, I'm trying to convince my buddy on PEI to get a sled, he's big into atving, he had some real bad experiences with sleds from the 80's and his attitude towards sleds have been poisoned, lol, lots have changed sense then I keep telling him, I will keep working on him, hopefully the Atlantic bubble will be opened up next year.

I heard there is also something about riding on wheat fields with a sled, somehow it disturbs the growing pattern when the snow is compressed. Just what I heard and landowners have shut down trails because of it.

Same, for most of NY. No off trail riding, even if you know the owner, as others inevitably see the tracks and figure it's ok.
Even when I groom close to a woods, on a field, between the markers, someone cuts the corner short and they all follow the easy track, and that is many times a problem.

In NH small trees which would be the next growth cutting are damaged. Idiots with small brains think it's waste land.
