In order to make what I currently have even better, I have purchased Yamaha mountain skis along with snow trackers. From what I have read on this site, the snow trackers seem to rule in popularity. I though about using Doo pilots, but I would have had to eat too much crow from a few buds.
Also considered Cat skis, but with the Yamaha mountains, I could get the same colours as I have now.
Looking forward to trying them out.

Once you have a few miles under those skis, please give us a report on how they work. I have the Tuners with Snowtrackers on my LTX, and they work fine, but the Tuners seem to have zero flotation in deep snow, so I would love to have a ski with good flotation that will take Snowtrackers. In order to make what I currently have even better, I have purchased Yamaha mountain skis along with snow trackers. Sure, np. I thought about that option also, but it just makes more sense to me, that for precise handling, the carbide should be in the center of the ski.Once you have a few miles under those skis, please give us a report on how they work. loved my vmax loved my rx-1 loved my 07 apex gt loved my apex xtx BUT my sidewinder is by far the best Yamaha I have ever owned. I never knew one could pound out 300 plus miles and wake up the next day and not be sore!!! the power and handling are far superior to all my former Yamaha's I hope it continues to be as reliable as they all were.

Loved the impulse apex, hoping the tuned winder with a new engine stays running.... Either way I can't ride anything else. Doo's put me to sleep, poo's are smoke, rattle, and buzzing machines that also don't reward my need for speed.

Love my Apex XTX, engine is flawless, skid is great with the star kit. 300 mile days are a breeze. Absolutely zero issues with this sled. Yamaha refined it to perfection. Best trail sled ever. Love my Warrior AD Bovin skid made it perfect. 18,000 miles of joy and fun. EPS is the only thing that could have made it better. All in all my experiences with the delta box have been positive.

Preach on! Tighter fit in the enclosed trailer, but worth it every bit. And I can swap carbides with other skis. Flotation and Apex should never go together, but they do.
Here is another pure Apex float video. No music, just 4-cylinder magic and powder. Flatland surfing!! It ain't even workin' hard.

How about the same snow, some slo-mo and some foul mouthed music to set the mood. Something satisfying about staring at the skis doing small powder wheelies.

Biff: I remember this video from last year when you added a taller lug track. But I forget what skis you installed?

Throw a set of WRP seats on those bad boys and you'll think you bought two new sleds!Love both my Apex's (like all my Yamaha's in the past and future) they have been good to me. Currently my 09 @ 6k miles needed the doughnut repair and my first set of hyfax. Finished last night installing copper doughnuts and Duponts, touched up my Dooley's with my Biteharder sharpening tool and all set for another season.

Love what you ride , ride what you love .
Have a 17 Sidewinder MTX , 06 Apex MTX boosted ( rode some 86 Phazers for a while before these ) do they have issues, well sometimes , but always make it back to the truck .
Sometimes with another brand in tow , Lol .
Can’t complain much after 30 years of riding Blue .

Apex Mountain skis. And yes, as mentioned, I don't think they varied from what sled they were mounted on. I did do Carbide swaps last night and shimmed them. I put them on in haste last year and never shimmed them. Woops. They were wore right off.
I should find the proper rubbers as they were a pain in the A to get lined up. But they sit nice now with toe up.

i just use them with the stock 11/16 rubbers with the ski shim. the spindles are different on the eps sleds vs the non eps sleds.
