I also have one shaft thats a good fit and a buddy has 9000mi on his without wear. Its the luck of the draw.
They just vary all over the place Jon. Terrible quality control. Might even be China crap.Funny because my new shaft and bearing was a very tight #%^ fit. I had to really put some elbow grease into it. No way would mine slid on and off. Probably because they are both new? Could they have changed the shaft thickness? Or ?
Could be.Wonder if this clearance fit is exacerbated by the fact that the shaft is in contact with cold snow and the bearing race is being heated with operating friction.
Figured as much. They just vary all over the place Jon. Terrible quality control. Might even be China crap.
Same shaft. If local to me I do have one shaft that BOP wedge still tightens to bearing but it would be a borrow or trade deal. In person. I have 5 buddies on ProCross chassis and we try to keep spare parts among ourselves to keep riding in these situations. FYI I ordered complete 2019 800 introvert shaft and drivers. That’s also backordered! So even shafts from 2st sleds are being used for everything else.
Yes same shaft 2st or 4st unless Mountain. They are aluminum and nutted on brake end.Same shaft.
Hows the drive shaft holding up?I just put in the BDX driveshaft. Only one ride 170 miles, no problems. Bearing fits tight and I still used the BOP wedge cause I already bought it in preparation of OEM driveshaft. I bought the steel one from hurricane because I heard someone broke the aluminum one
