So much for Dynotech reading higher numbers than anyone else, the 193HP is right there with the PEFI dyno run. On DooTalk there all freaking out about the boost differences. What I don't think they get is the ECU is going to adjust for the pressure and differences of the day just like the Yamaha does like going up and down in altitude, density ect...
They all think they are getting had as BRP said its going to run at 17 lbs boost. The DooTalkers all thought it was going to be over 200-220HP, and of course they think it will easily go over 200 once they get some miles on it because of a break in chip and voodoo jazzy hands magic. Yes, it will loosen up some, but not to the tune of over 200 HP. LOL!
193 HP is nothing to sneeze at, but forget about tuning the factory ECU to a higher level. Its locked down hard and no ones getting in to play from the sounds of things. Tuners can get in, but can not play in there to put in different parameters.
Going to need an aftermarket ECU to do much with it as I was told by a birdie today, but its coming. Not up to the power levels the winder is making nor will it ever be, which we all knew.

Definitely enough to give the winder a run for it's money, stock for stock.
And all for the very low price of $25,000 cad.
Buddy bought one and wants me to head up to Ontario in January.
So he can try to make an example out of me.....lol. as I waxed his then new 850. Lol...love it
Sure hope that over pressurized 900 doesn't suffer from a massive case of heat soak.

Or maybe skidoo drop pressure after late season testing problems .

Not really. It would only be fair to compare other factors also like displacement and operating RPM.The skidoo is basically 50 hp down comparing 14 psig , to the 240 hp hurricane tune 14 psig.

Looks like the new Mach will have to qualify against the old stock 1100 Turbos before it can go racing against Winders and Tcats. LOL

Ya, but I don't think you should compare it like that...The skidoo is basically 50 hp down comparing 14 psig , to the 240 hp hurricane tune 14 psig.

In a stock for stock drag race it will be ahead of the 998 at 500Ft, after that the 998 is going to start pull on it. The 998 should be ahead at 1000ft mark.

Nice numbers for a suggested 180hp during their release. Very reminiscent of the 2017 Winder acclaimed 180 hp during it’s release!
Sounds impressive and the hype and expectations are growing!

Ya, I think the 180 is an insurance number. They all don't want to say its a 200+hp sled, then everyones insurance rates may go through the roof. Plus, its an easy goal at the hp level.Nice numbers for a suggested 180hp during their release. Very reminiscent of the 2017 Winder acclaimed 180 hp during it’s release!

I agree. Just joking around. As an old Tcat guy running Tcats from 1993 until 2013, the old Mach 1 was our number one challenger until boosted RX 1's came along. When we switched to turbos we parked the old dogs. The 1100T anvil motor as I call it has been a good motor that can take lots of power and abuse. They are a pain to work on with the old body work but perform well. I am looking forward to riding my 22' Tcat and start to play with it.Ya, but I don't think you should compare it like that...

One guy on DooTalk said it pulls wheelies better than his sidewinder did in his yard. Well Duh, it has a Doo wheelie happy suspension in it. The 850 or even 800 is a wheelie happy machine too. Its one thing I hated about my 1200 turbo Doo. It was impossible to dial it out, so ended up being a point and shoot sled. Can't steer it on the trail if the skis can help you steer it. It's why I LOVE the 998 and it's ability to drive away from anything with the skis on the ground. Just because it can wheelie at will doesn't mean it's going to win. LOL! I get a kick out of some of these guys.
I'll call these wheelie happy guys "squids". Hey if the skis are in the air it must be fast right...

Honestly & more importantly...I'm very curious to see how the Mach holds up at this new power level, fixes, flaws, etc.
a fair amount of ex-sidewinder guys left crying with stories of woe. Cuz they either overlooked simple maintenance or wicked it up to 300hp and can't believe it needs to be maintained. "This shouldn't of happened or that" lol...my god man!!! Your trail riding a 270hp machine with basically a flash. Lol....give it a rest!!!

That's true. Lots of guys just didn't want to do it right with the Winder or do the maintenance properly with the good pieces. They pissed and moaned if they had to do the ROV delete, and that's fine, the winder is not for everyone. The Doo should be a gas-n-go sled. Different strokes for different folks. I may even move to one when I get older and don't want to go fast or wrench anymore. I hope by the time I get there they fix that front end though!
IMO the Doo will hold up fine to that 200HP power level. Honestly, 200HP is not that much to eat parts up. Doesn't even need Hypo chain honestly. Think about it if it was a 1200, that is just stage one power level. So should be a great & fun sled, combine it with the Doo dreameter and they will think its REALLY fast too. So plenty of happy Doo people and some love that skis in the air playful feel.
