I've been out riding the last couple of days. Put on about 150 miles so far this year. I'm out today running a lake and the temp light comes on. I was with but only for maybe 1-2 min. But as soon as the light came on I shut it down. There was anti freeze by my left foot and coming out from under the belly pan. I took the panels off out on the lake and the only place I could find it coming from was the reservoir vent. There was still anti freeze in the reservoir. So once it cooled down I started it back up and heading on. 3 miles later out on the lake going 50mph the light comes back on and anti freeze is coming out the vent tube again. I was about 10mi from home so I began to limp her home. Every time the temp light came on I would stop and sit 20 min the ride another few miles before stopping again. About2 miles from home the temp light was of I was going about 20mph and it flashed code 30 and shut down. At this point I towed it the remaining 2moro and will call the local dealer tomorrow and see what my yes plan does for me. Any ideas as to the issue?

sounds like u may have over heated her (boiled over) which may in return caused engine damage maybe. did any oil come out anywhere?

No oil came out. And I was very careful with the tempo light. Everytime it came on I had the sled off with in seconds. Then I would let it sure for twenty min our mite. How about the water pump bearing?

Did the radiator fan come on? If it pushed out antifreeze then you needed to also check the radiator level not just the reservoir. I'm not exactly sure why you got code 30 but these sleds do have an oil cooler so maybe the oil got to hot from the coolant overheating resulting in a drop in pressure.

Are you running synthetic oil?

I really can't tell when the fan is on or off. It is so quite. I also did not check the radiator I just checked the site glass near the left control arms. is the water pump bearing lubricated by the engine ?
Could coolant have entered the oil causing low oil pressure?

I just checked the oil. No coolant in the oil and oil level is normal. My next dilemma is the sled is 300mi from home. Do I find a way to trailer it home & take it to my trusted dealer rock river marina or take it to the closet which is minoqua yamaha in wi? Anybody ever used them b4? Rrm has been good to, me and always goes to bat for me and my no plan. I mean yes plan.

Are you running Synthetic oil????
Either way you have to trailer it.Might as well go to your own dealer.

Yep been running mobile 0w-30 since it was new. I think I'm going to call the dealer in WI and see what they would charge me to come pick it up.

BAD NEWS - It may already be too late. Low oil "pressure" is fatal to these motors. I ran into the same issue on my 2008. 1st thing I would check is the oil filter. Do you have an aftermarket filter on your machine? The aftermarket filters sit lower than a stock yammi filter. Are you running the origional skid plate? If so modification and/or replacement is required.
With my 2008 the stock skid plate rib creased my aftermarket oil filter. I lost next to no oil, but the pin sized hole was enough to reduce my oil "pressure". I too nursed mine home when the temp light came on and in the process it shut itself down. When I got it home, I performed the repair, but it was too late. BOOM the motor blew 5 miles in on the next ride.
I HOPE this is not the case with yours! If so you pretty much have 3 options.
1. If still under warranty - Install a factory Yamaha filter and bring it to a Yamaha dealership with the known issue for documentation and or repair.
2 If not under Warranty but insured - Leave the damaged filter on and file an insurance claim for impact damage. This is what I had to do and it was a pain because they had a dealership do a tear down and still did not want to cover it. It finally took a Regional Technician from Yamaha Motor Corporation to talk to my insurance company for them to cover it.
3. You can find a used motor - Usually $1,500 - $2,500
This may not sound ethical, but this is a MAJOR design flaw in the Nytro and Yamaha does not sell just the motor. A replacement engine is assembled from individual pieces at a dealership and billed out for the parts and assembly which makes this a $4,000 - $4,500 motor.

wow nuke sorry to hear the very bad news but thanks for the tips. I have a wix filter on it now. Wait I mean a genuine yamaha filter and a genuine yamaha skid plate. I only ride groomed trails and haven't riden much since my last oil change, less than 200 miles. and I am sure I haven't ran anything stupid over that would have hit the bottom of the sled. I have read about the skid plate issues but have never seen myself as the guy who needs one. Now on the plus side of all this I do have the YES plan but I am sure yamaha wil make me jump through hoops to get them to cover anything.

just don't post your name or any sled information, the insurance companies read threads like this. So does yamaha or they're dumber than I think they are.
Who did the last oil change? I am running a Wix(napa) filter without issues, by chance did the old filter rubber stick to the block? Meaning now you have two squished in there leaking?
Have you ever changed the coolant? Was there any snow on the lake or bare ice? Scratchers used?
