I would not advise anyone to order the evo header. There is still fitment issues, I just received mine today and I have the flange bolts just snug and the pipe is touching the valve cover. So once tightened it will be very bad.

I even asked evo before they shipped if the header had been corrected and they said yes.

So to say the least im not very impressed with them. This header was only built last week, so its not old stock.

trevorl1, checking on this right now.....

Got a pic?

I had the same issue with mine. Make sure that tab that gets mounted in the rubber grommet in the back of the pipe is fully seated, once I worked mine down all the way it wasn't touching the cover anymore, but it's still really close, which Jim said is normal.

I heated it up and wrestled it out so now it's 1/8" away from the valve cover, there's no fitment issues with the heat shield.

I'm going to add an extra 1/4" tunnel protector since I have the 1.6 cobra with studs.

Is your sled an ltx? I have the 1.6" ice cobra track, and was worrie about it hitting the header also. Are you replacing the tunnel protectors with new ones or just adding a 1/4" to your existing?

Your track will be fine, my studs stick out past the track and if I push the track up the studs will hit the header.
I'm just adding 1/4" of hdpe to my existing protectors.

My header also is now touching my valve cover just waiting for it to crack. Also wish I know that the studs would be a issue For the $1025.00 Canadian I paid I'm having second thoughts also. I just ordered a Hindle header.
I'm not sure who I will contact EVO or White Knuckel where I purchased it from. Season is short as it is so if your reading this Jim please let us know what can be done. Thanks Bruce

Heat and bend what?
I just heated the pipe a bit where it starts to turn up.
Jim said today his header has a 3/16"gap from the valve cover and that he was going to send it to get them to match the jig to it, me personally I would aim for more then if there is a little mistake when being built it would still be ok.

Yours is touching n0w? I thought yours was good when you installed it? I don't like the sounds of this, I have mine installed but haven't started the sled yet, almost considering sending mine back and ordering the hindle header.

Really that's $hity. Did you order your hindle from Dave? I see they have the SLP on there site, but all the prices are in US? I just about have the sled back together and want to go ride it but don't want to run it just incase they wont take the header back, I could imagine mine will move and hit the engine again too.
