I don't bielive the pb80 stops the rattle. And I dought it'll perform better, but we'll see if it's being run by anyone hopefully they'll post there findings, good or bad.
I'll be trying one, I'd bet it gets rid of the rattle just like it does on the 1200 Doo. That's the one thing that I really can't stand is the clutch rattle. Its a rattling bucket of bolts that's for sure.
For performance, I doubt it would improve anything over the Yamaha primary. For sure it will NOT be a drag race clutch as you can't get it to bite the belt down low. I'm concerned it may run a lot warmer just because it has no open cover on it like the Yamaha clutch does, but will see if we ever get snow here to test it out.

You need snow Mike? I wish I could send you some. We had three feet of it two weeks ago and then lost most of it in a warm up. Now we have 4 feet of it in most places and everyone is complaining about getting stuck. I'm waiting till all the trails get groomed before I go out.I'll be trying one, I'd bet it gets rid of the rattle just like it does on the 1200 Doo. Joes spot gets a major pounding for sure....Likely some of the highest totals in our nation, perfect spot off Lake Erie, cold temps and WNW flow. Most top meteorologists love this area for the lake effect prone blasts.

Would like to revive this thread as myself and a budd both have frozen rollers too. 1 on each of our sleds. The bushing has pushed out enough to push up against the plastic washer cause the roller to freeze. in fact, it has cause a slight groove on the back of my fly weight.
Has anyone got this covered under warranty? My dealer says yamaha wont as it is a wear item. I would argue that although it is, the roller is defective if the bushing is sliding out.

Mine was covered. They know there is a problem. Tell your dealer to just change it and stop being a dumb azz.Would like to revive this thread as myself and a budd both have frozen rollers too. 1 on each of our sleds. I picked up my 17 RTX-SE 3 weeks ago now from a dealer. It was a demo unit that had 1300 miles on it, they said it had all the updates done on it and was ready to go. Well after 400 miles this thing sounds like the clutch is vibrating like crazy when I was driving today. We pulled the side cover off and the belt is riding about 1/8" below the secondary. Noticed some flat spots in the secondary rollers, also had one stuck roller in my primary. I am supposed to ride this weekend and I am stick with a dealer that has no parts available till the end of next week. And ideas on what I can do to get through the weekend?

My dealer took the stuck primary roller out and the two washers looked swollen. So he pressed them on sand paper and counted off so many strokes and did that to each side on both of them. Re installed and the roller and it rolls better than the other two. This is a temperary fix cause these washers had to be sent from California if they have them. I have a ride this weekend and desperate measures for desperate people. As for the secondary rollers there are a few manufactures on this sight that sell upgraded rollers.

Thunder Products has primary rollers....much better then stock.
Most of us replaced the secondary rollers with aftermarket.

Did you contact Lonn? Maybe he will do something for you? I was under impression these rollers from TP will be a one time purchase and last life of sled.
