Looking for a header. Anyone have comparison between different companies? Dyno gains? Looking for the biggest overall gains in the usable rpm's. Different design should provide different results. It seems every aftermarket headers are way better quality than OEM, but lets comment on what you think.

hindle, evolution, excell motosports all make a nice header for the Yamaha viper.check out their web sites more info.hurricane performance makes a nice kit for the viper. hindle header,pc,v and air intake mod makes 17.5 hp.

I believe the question 1049triple is asking is, do these suppliers have and supply dyno charts for their headers only.
I have the same questions, I what to know what I can expect from their header alone.
I want to make my own decision on what I can expect if I put a Hindle header with an Ultra Quiet, or an EVO with a Sandale, or an Excell with an MBRP, or any combination of MY choice.

They are sooooo expensive who can buy more than one just to compare? ? ?

Thats why we want Dyno charts. So we can compare, on paper not out of pocket.
If the want to sell me their product Give me information.

I would really want to know if any of them provide real noticeable gains, and wich one is the best overall performer. Because speaking welds quality, I do not doubt that even a 12 years old boy can do better than the stock piece.

Apparently Evo and Excell require extra tunnel guards if you are running studs. Hindle does not.

Where did you here this??? I have the EVO header installed and have never heard extra guards where needed.
The EVO is an awesome piece btw ;)

I had the evo with a track on the tight side. Studs chewed into it on the second ride.
Glad I caught it right away.
1.325 studs

I believe EVO has a fix or real soon. I thought the header was fine for 1.325 studs but your proof it doesn't.

Does anyone have any info on increasing clearance for the studs with the use of the EVO header?? I have tried to contact them many times and only got a busy tone.
I have a 2014 ltx se with the EVO header and 1.325" studs currently and am looking for ways to increase clearance for the header.

After talking to Jim at Evolution Powersports today it appears like there has only been one case of contact with the EVO headers. Mine appear fine as well so all is good so far.
