Needs to show 14v when running.
Rode the sled 72 miles, got to our destination and had dinner. About an hour. Ran perfect the whole way up including a couple stops with restarts. Went outside to leave, tried starting the sled. DEAD. Gauge lights come on, but nothing. Checked the connections at the battery including the relay. The hot side of the relay was loose. Tightened it and got a jump, fired right up. Pulled the cables and it died immediately. Thoughts?!?
I only have basic tools with me and no voltmeter.
Upon my preseason check up, I found the battery terminals to be a little loose. No idea how they could loosen up over the summer. Perhaps something we all should check? Hope your problem is solved....The ring terminals were completely clean. I did also notice the nut inserts had "contact burns" on both. ..To be continued....
