Recently purchased an HID kit from Royal Distributing that only car mounting instructions and various options. Nowhere did I find instructions on how or where to fit the parts, so here's what worked for me in my machine.
1. Connect positive from transformer to battery and run up the side above gear box. (Must remove air box to make connection)
2. Zip tie just under mounting bracket for head unit or dash
3. Mounted control units to back side, close to steering column and offset a bit on top one to allow dash to mount properly. I used 2 sided tape to stick the units together and on the bracket to the units. Then zip tied all in place to ensure they don't bounce around.
4. Only one of the original two connecters from the old bulbs was required for use, so I filled one with di-electric grease and taped up for future use if required.
5. The extra wire was zip tied and pushed down into the cavity of the steering column where it won't interfere with anything.
6. I retrofitted the rubber housing from the old bulbs to fit the new larger HID's buy cutting 1/2" off the sleave to the first step in it and then cut small slots in it to allow to tightly fit over the new bulbs housings to keep water tight.
7. Test everything before putting all back together!
Hope this helps somebody out there! Cheers!
