Got everything installed today, wired in and organized. Put in my new Thunder primary rollers as well. (Anyone ever add o-rings under the nut to eliminate the slop or is that a bad idea?) I ended up velcroing the flash unit to the top left side of the fuel tank nice and close to the main plug from the hood assembly. This way all three connections are in one spot for easy hood removal. Also added a RAM mount right above the gauges and I can mount my phone or a GPS that sits nicely behind the windshield. I'm older so mounting the GPS to the bars or near the crash pad won't work because I can't see it that close. Got my maps from GPS Trailmasters and it works on my android and Garmin. Already loaded on the phone so I can use it to run the GAP and Trails apps and switch back and forth mounted above the gauges. Looks good in the garage but not sure about in the sun. Might not have needed the GPS but I'm not sure how the phone will operate in the cold. The maps cover the entire north east US and Quebec. I really like the map overlays, time will tell on the trails but it shows you can ride from PA all the way to QC.
Waiting for my clutch alignment tool to get here. Want to be sure everything is in order with the added HP.
Hoping for snow and heading north the second week of January and/or Chautauqua area after Christmas. So jealous of the folks up in Canada riding already. Sure makes me stir crazy.

I run o-rings under the roller bolts. Works fine till you spit one out now and again, doesn't mater much, still loud clutch rattle.
I also built my own charger for the iPhone just like above and it works fantastic for live data and/or trail maps. Charges and warms the phone fine and it never shuts off. Works just fine in the sun also.

Those cover bags are nice. Never saw them before. Looks like back to Amazon for a wireless charging setup and cover.

Another question from the technically challenged. What is the mount called that the wireless charging pad seats into. I can't find it on amazon or google. what are those zip up bags called?

Akron iPhone holder and wireless QI charger. If you don't have a 8 with built in QI charging you can buy a cheap wireless card for the back of the phone.

So you don't need the computer, just keep it plugged in to the sled, and connect for the first time?
