Do the shock need to come off completely to swap out the spring?
Was looking at it and thought it may be possible to just let go the top and swap it right on the sled.
Can it be done?
Yep, spin the adjusting collar all the way down. Then take out top bolt and move top of shock back and slide top collar off....put new spring in and spin collar up so it touches to keep collar from falling off. Put top bolt in, 15 minutes at most to do it.

Can you lift the skis off the ground by hand now?

Never checked.
What should I look for.
I guess it should be easier to lift with this spring if looking for a lighter feel on the trail?

I assume you still have to use a fair bit of force to lift??

I am 160 pounds weight and it takes almost all the lifting power I have but I can lift the skis off the ground. I tried a stock Viper at the snow show last Saturday and I couldn't get close to lifting it

Do you lift by the skis or the front bumper?? I'm getting my '15 XTX this week so will try to lift it before I install the Zbroz 160 spring.

Front bumper. My favorite in the parking lot is get the guy staring at your Viper to lift it and watch the look on there face as they say "Is that really a 4 stroke???"
You know every snowmobile or Atv I have ridden that had great suspension when you are on it you can easily make it rock back and forth. lean forward front goes down and back comes up. Lean backwards front goes up and rear goes down.

So here's my thought for me. I weigh around 240. So I was thinking a 180 spring set snug to start (slim Jim Dooley 6" for cornering) and zbroz coupler. I do 95 % trail. I couldn't pass up the price for the xtx.
