I just rejoined the site and wanted to reintroduce myself. I tried to sign in with my old login, but couldn’t. I pushed a password reset, but I must have registered with an old email address I no longer use.

Anyway, I’ve been using the site since 05 when I bought my VMAXs and will continue to search the forums while I continue to dial in my 08 Nytro for the 2nd year. I’ve sunk a bunch of dough into this sled, but I just can’t ride it as fast as my heavier Apex. I do enjoy the riding position and stand up riding on the Nytro, but the Apex just eats up trail miles.

The Nytro is a good foundation to build a trail-weapon upon. Add some parts to alter the front geometry. Put a “different” rear suspension in the sled if you’d like. Some handlebars, etc, etc....

Since Dec 2019 I put tuner skis and carbides on it, replaced the track, added a mid height windshield, 3in riser, added water wetter to the coolant, replaced spindle bushings, lower ball joints, pivot arm slider, set all clickers to ty4stroke recommended settings, DuPont hyfax, 2 new bogies, new handgards, new plugs, new belt.

I have an ignition switch on order because the pins are corroded bad and the sled keeps dying. I’m about to order JRE spindles because they are cheaper than OEM and the top holes are ovaled out. I’m starting to wonder why we love our Japanese sleds so much.
